Good Directions 8840PR Flying Pig Cottage Weathervane, Polished Copper with Roof Mount

We love our flying pig weathervane. My wife is a huge fan of all things "pig" so this was the perfect addition to our back fence. It arrived vey carefully wrapped and was easy to install. Unfortunately I dropped the small globe during installation, and it fell into a crevice against our fence. After numerous failed attempts to retrieve it, I contacted the seller and they were very responsive in sending a replacement AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. THAT IS ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE! Love the quality of the product and can't say enough about the company that makes it. WELL DONE to Good Directions!

The product is beautifully crafted, my 3 stars are because it came with the small and large globes missing and there are no indications on how to proceed in this case. I want to keep the product, just need these two missing parts...

It all came in one package, it was very easy to install. It was only just a little taller than a black marker, but it surprised me that I could see the welding that holds the two sides together. I know it will change color as it weathers. But who ever made the pigs 🐷 ears ( it looks like they took a bear 🐻 head and add pig ears to it). I still keeping the flying Pig. Because it on top of my 12 foot high Chicken Coop and know one will be able to see it up close . I could not be happier with it.

I purchased the Flying Pig weathervane and found that the pole was too small for my cupola. I left a message for Good Directions as it was the weekend. Monday morning they contacted me and in minutes understood my problem and sent out the right modular pole that would remedy my issues, free of charge. They are the exception in today's marketplace. We are so happy with our purchase. This is the cutest weathervane I have ever seen, and I love that it is made in America! It came within two days of ordering, was very sturdy, packaged well, and easy to assemble. Instructions were simple to follow. The pig is cute for days and it works. When the wind blows it flies around to the correct direction. Our little shed is about 10X8 and about 9 feet tall at the peak. This is the perfect size for it. Anything bigger would have looked disporprtioinate. I do think it could also work on bigger structures as well.

The workmanship and quality of the flying pig is worth every penny. I love it. My assembly skills are a bit lacking because the directions are for installing it on your roof. After failing to understand the directions I read thru them again and at the tail end were the directions for a garden post. It is awesome; all my neighbors comment; it is a feature piece of my yard. I absolutely love it.

After being a widow for 18+ years & never thinking of dating, in 2014 there was a reuniting with a man I had seriously gone with when he was 21 and I was 20, and time and distance was different 50 years prior. He was a widower and we emailed and after timereunited in 2015 as distant friends and were married in August of 2015. It might have been thought we would get together when pigs can fly and we are convinced they do. I purchased this as a Valentine’s gift for my hubby as we purchased a home a year ago. We are enjoying our flying pig that is right,in the yard.

Well made sturdy.

Nicely made and looks good but base did not come with any bolts to assemble it. Had to go out and buy a bolt set from screwfix for another £16 plus screws to fix base plate to shed roof £7 which is poor for an expensive item. I am sure I could have returned it with Amazon but couldn’t be bothered for a couple of fixings.

Reviews were right on. A fabulous well crafted product that exceeds expectations. Well packaged, well designed, and looks great. I expect it to become a signature statement and heirloom. If you have or are going to build a cupola - top off the achievement with this fab crafted vane.

This is a very high quality weathervane. The price is amazing for what arrived at my doorstep. It's very nicely crafted, has all the pieces, including the roof clamp, and the pig has gorgeous wings and the cutest face and curly tail. It's clear every detail has been though through. I can hardly wait to install it !!!!! I will definitely be getting more products from this company - I'm suddenly into weathervanes and every one who sees mine wants one.

Looks great, quality and well built. This guy's wings are pressed, but all parts are soldered well, and feel solid. Brass fittings and parts. Ordered mine with the roof mount. The cottage size is approx 21", while the pig itself is 12"
