Clever Soap 2% Zinc Pyrithione Shampoo with Argan Oil | Anti-Dandruff & Vegan

I bought this shampoo because it has the same active ingredient as UK head and shoulders, and I wanted a cruelty free shampoo. This Shampoo is okay, in that it controls the dandruff and dermatitis itchiness. However I have the following issues with it, hence the score of 3 stars:1. It doesn’t lather up AT ALL. It doesn’t matter how much I put on, it doesn’t feel like there is any shampoo on my head. I find myself dispensing way more shampoo than is usually necessary, way more than my previous shampoo, just to make sure my whole head is covered, and getting nowhere, and this is going to mean I am buying a bottle every few weeks which is extortionate at a tenner a bottle. Note I’m not using stingy amounts to begin with - just a normal amount of shampoo.2. People saying it doesn’t have a smell: this is not true, although I do have a very sensitive and strong sense of smell so it’s possible that to some people it doesn’t smell like anything. To me this actually smells faintly of vomit at first. However, when washed out it doesn’t smell like anything (vomit included!)3. It doesn’t adequately clean my hair and I am having to wash it more often than I used to. Given I’m using more shampoo than I would normally need anyway, this again means I’ll run out that much quicker.The annoying thing is that I’ll probably continue to use this average, overpriced shampoo because every other anti dandruff shampoo I’ve tried since starting to shop cruelty free and giving up head and shoulders doesn’t work. So until someone else finally brings out a decent anti-dandruff shampoo, this will have to do.

I have had dandruff all my life (42 years!) I’ve previously been prescribed various shampoos for seborrheic dermatitis (nizorel etc) and nothing has ever worked…. Until now!I’m not joking but it took one wash with this shampoo and my dandruff disappeared and haven’t had any for 2 weeks now.It’s utterly life changing. I had been resigned to the fact I would have it forever.Would highly recommend this product

Perhaps I haven't given this product enough time to work its magic, sometimes results aren't instant and it takes a few washings to clear the scalp. But after first use, my scalp still quite itchy, dry and flaky.Also whilst it may be obvious with shampoo that one would wet the hair/scalp first, the directions state to 'apply to scalp', and as it's a specialist shampoo, it would be good to clarify whether that's apply to wet or dry scalp.After first use, my hair itself feels soft, but with a very slightly tacky layer, and quite dull (no shine). If it helped my scalp, I wouldn't care about those things. If it works well after several washes I will edit my feedback. The only thing that currently works for me is Nizoral, and the new daily use Nizoral shampoo but I wanted something different for when my scalp gets too used to those.

This shampoo has clamed the spots on my forehead excellently. At the tender age of 40 for some reason I have got spots on my forehead for no apparent reason. Maybe I'm allergic to my washing powder or something.The issue is really itchy scalp and forehead. I can't keep my hands off it which is not helping. The shampoo cooled down the constant buzzing I'm suffering with. Not for the entire day. But its better than the other remedies I've tried. That included anti biotics. So I'd say it's money well spent.

Nothing better on the market, cleared up my dry, flaky scalp and the redness on my face in under a week. As it's shampoo I also wash my face with it at the same time. Hope they keep producing this.

Some improvemt after first use but better each time and now at about 95%. Use liberally but only need one wash, not the two I usually do. Very difficult to find shampoo containing zinc anymore. EU legislation but I guess International manufacturers cater to all markets, not just the UK

I had a bit of dandruff after holiday and this seems to have helped rectify any problems; don't get itchy scalp or any flakes etc. Worked better than Head and Shoulders.

Like this shampoo very much, would recommend it for dry ad itchy scalp
