Stetson Men's Hat

Love this hat. Purchased the 7 1/8 size as indicated in the size chart. Very happy with the fit. Being tall, I had to raise the center dent to make enough space to clear the top of my head. The hat looks great and wears comfortably. I appreciate the weave. It is well made but is able to retain a quality handmade look. The leather sweatband is very nice as well.

The comparative affordability of Stetson's Shantung Open Road hat led me to believe I'd be making sacrifices in quality here, but I'm overjoyed to report that isn't the case, as this is a uniquely inspired, beautifully woven hat with more western evocation than fedora crossover (the sides are more upturned "cowboy style" than the classic Open Road).I specifically thought the Shantung straw would feel cheap, as Shantung is basically a high performance paper woven into a yarn to mimic straw. But it turns out the weave is pristine and uniformed, and the shape itself has a lot of attractive rigidity. Shantung finally makes sense to me, and it's ideal summer hat material.This is a top-shelf straw hat by any definition -- distinctive but still classically-styled -- and an elite value at this low price point. Nice hat, made in Texas, though I did have to go to get it shaped. The brim and crown were asymmetrical.

6X Straw open Road for just under $100 is a no-brainer. I’ve worn it nearly every day for three months and I have not been easy on it. I’m a service, plumber and stuff gets wild. Sometimes it washes clean, retains its shape. It’s really the perfect every day hat

First off, the hat is great. The fit is good and it's a sharp looking hat.Now, i understand its a $70 hat, and that makes this a great deal for a hat made in the usa, but the care that was given to this hat for shipping is such a disappointment. It came in a sealed plastic bag that's too small for the hat and then it's crammed in a amazon box that's too small as well. The end result.....i opened the box to find the brim in the back of the hat was bent straight up and the front was bent as well. Bummed.I took the hat to our local hat shop (50 mile round trip) and i was nervous they would not be able to reshape it because of the shantung its made from. luckily they hit it with some steam and got it back in to shape. ($5 later)so i guess what I'am saying here is, Where's the stetson hat box?? Where is any hat box?? Come On!

I am very happy with this hat. Delivered in a nice big box (not in a Stetson hat box though) and well packed. Authentic, made in America and fine quality. Highly recommended.

The hat was packed well for shipment and arrived undamaged.This style of straw Stetson is perfect for hot sunny weather. This is the particularly classic style as seen on the heads of such famously charismatic Open Road wearers as LBJ, Harry S. Truman, and Buford T. Justice.It's hard to find an Open Road at your average Western-wear store where they tend to focus on wider brims. If you like this style, Stetson also produces them in felt. But like I said, this straw version is great for hot sunny weather.

Nice switch between Panama to Cowboy

Just as advertised. Great hat. Great style. What would make the hat better, a leather sweatband. The synthetic sweatband makes the hat a little uncomfortable in humid weather. So, carry a handkerchief to wipe your forehead. But, for the price, I shouldn't complain.👍
