LEGO Technic 42027 Desert Racer Model Kit

My 7 year old son just opened and assembled this toy today. It is his first Technic product from Lego. He assembled it just fine, and he is thrilled with the outcome. It took about an hour to put together. He is having a blast playing with the pullback feature and making it go across the room. He put in one of his lego guys as a driver. He says, "It is awesome. It can go more than 12 feet."Another great product from lego. I feel it was a good value for less than $20. We'll be buying more Technic products in the future.

Not half bad this was a present for my nephew to open on Christmas Eve (tradition in my family to open a small gift on Christmas Eve). My nephew seemed to like it and had it put together in about an hour, he's 10. I also bought one for his brother who is 9 and he had a bit of a harder time putting it together.

This a great toy for kids from ages 3 to 49. 49 year old like to put it together and the 3 year old like to move the pieces and push it around. 3 yr old also finds it interesting, since when you pull it back it rolls forward. 3 yr old has dropped it a few times, but didn't come apart like many of the other Legos (I don't know why)

Bought this for my 80-year-old father-in-law who has early dementia because he has always liked to tinker with mechanical things and automobiles. I thought it would be good mental exercise and engage his hands and mind in coordinated activity. Unfortunately, he didn't really give this a try. Maybe he thought it was too much of a "kid" item. Too bad, really.

Gave as a gift to my 8 year old nephew. He enjoyed the pull back motor and the kit. There is another kit that you can mix with this one to make a pull back truck with two motors so it's nice that you can use the kits to make more vehicles.

Bought this for my 7 year old son for Christmas. He put it together the next day. I also bought the Black Champion Racer Model Kit that can be combined with this one. He hasn't build the combo yet. He was surprised that it would pull back and go pretty far. Ran into the wall a few times and it didn't fall apart.

Love the LEGO pullbacks -- and this is one of the best ones yet. The construction is super durable so it can smash against a wall -- and stay in one piece (although it is fun to put it back together when a few pieces fall off). It's faster than the other LEGO pullback we have can drives straight as an arrow. Love it!
