Replacement for the one that came with the TV and stopped working.

Extremely disappointed, especially for a $40 remote! I did not get an original "magic" remote so I have no way of comparing these. This does have the "wand" feature & the "voice" but either my remote is just defective, or both are terrible. I have most apps & channels on my TV so finding anything should not be an issue, but when I voice search...the voice works, I watch it on my screen type out exactly what I say, but all I get is her bringing up recommendations to watch. So that part is worthless. The pointer, is sporadic. Then if I try to use that to type in to search for something so I don't have to oush a button to go through each letter (& since the "voice search" doesn't work!) I point to a letter & no matter how soft, or quickly I push to select a letter, it types each letter 2-6x. So I have a $40!! remote that is WAY worse than my $6 universal. I was excited to try this nice "magic remote", enough that I was willing to spend $40 on it!! I most definitely do not recommend. I also don't trust these reviews considering there are so many different versions? I've seen many where they got theirs & it did not have the wand or voice search though the description said it did. Mine did, just terrible. So I guess it's just random.

Item showed up and upon opening it I was pleasantly surprised that it appeared to be the same as original. I put the batteries in and my LG big screen identified it and said it was ready to use. Couldn’t be any simpler!

Works great, buttons are a little stiff

So far it has worked really good I worried about it because it was a replacement one but it works fine I have no complaints at this time

Exact replacement for what I had. Easy to program. Was here in less than 48 hours!

I bought this as a replacement for the remote that came with the TV we have and I've gotta say, I'm not impressed with it. The cursor is somewhat unreliable as it works very well half the time and hardly at all at other times. I'd say just save the money and go and get the official remote from LG than deal with this one.

Range from our TV is roughly 9-10 feet anything further the remote is extremely hit or miss if the TV receives the signal, within that range it works perfectly. The battery cover has a tendency to come undone during use as it's not the tightest fit.

well the kids broke the tv coincidentally before we received the new remote. new tv is not compatible so i figured i would just return it but turns out I can't

Very limited function on Lg J8000Range is very poor with small sweet spot.My factory remote can be pointed away from tv and it works fine.

If you can spare a few more dollars, get the real thing from LG. This one is very light and feels cheap. The magic cursor is quite unresponsive compared to the real ones.
