Good Quality, World Class Instructions, Easy to Install
Good quality product, but the absolute best part was the quality of the instructions and ease of installation. It comes with four pages of illustrated, easy to follow installation instructions, and everything is extremely well labeled. There are even removable stickers on the crossbars themselves to indicate the front and rear crossbar, and which side goes towards the front of the vehicle. Pro tip, as I started to remove these stickers, the wife suggested leaving them on, in case we ever need to remove and reinstall. They're unobtrusive, you can see one in the attached photo on the front crossbar. Start to finish, it took no more than 20 minutes. Other comments:- The crossbars are slightly adjustable in length to fit. On our 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited, the required adjustment position was all the way out, as far as it'll go. You'll need an allen wrench (not included) to make the adjustments.- Comes with a wrench to install the bolts to the roof rails. Does not come with a trim removal tool. My one bit of worry before buying was getting the trim tabs off the car's roof rails in order to install this. I'm always paranoid about tearing up the car. I shouldn't have been worried. Like most Toyota products, the trim tabs were well designed and very easily removable, in about 5 seconds using a butter knife. No special tool required.- Confirmed that these do not interfere with the operation of the sunroof. If you notice, these sit a bit higher than some other bars you'll see. That's why.- My one "issue", if you can even call it that, is that the silver color comes from paint, not brushed, polished or clear coated aluminum. When I read these were aluminum bars, "silver in color to match roof side rails", I expected it to be polished or brushed aluminum, with a gloss finish to "match roof side rails", as the description says. It's not. It's painted silver, which doesn't exactly match. I also worry about the long term durability of the paint, sliding a roof carrier on and off. Had I known in advance it was paint and not polished aluminum, I might have bought the black one instead. But no worries, these look nice too. See photo. In summary, these are nice quality, but the absolute best part is the quality of instructions and ease of installation. If you're worried about doing this yourself, don't be. It's easy.

This was Easy 5 -10 minutes to install and no disassembly required
First off really nice and easy 5 - 10 minute install. Looks like it will hold up and support some weight for a luggage carrier. My negatives. Bars had a few scratches and chips in the finish, was missing a retaining washer holding the spacer into the bolt (1 out of 4 was missing), and bolts did not line up correctly even with the adjustment fully out. Managed to get the bolts in but might have cross threaded one of them but it is seated down and I am not planning on removing it so no biggie. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Looks good, easy install, good price
I echo others here -- these are solid and easy to install crossbars. I have not tried them with my luggage carrier yet, so cannot comment on the practical sturdiness, but they feel sold installed. I think they will do the trick. As others noted, it takes about 30 min to install. You can do it on your own, but helps a little to have 2 to line up the cross bars. You do need to adjust the length a bit before tightening the allen wrench screws on the underside of the bar. Adjusting the length helps make the bars fit more easily into the side roof rails. I put them on, adjusted length, then removed and tightened the allen wrench screws before putting them back on the roof and bolting them on.I did not have a plastic trim removal tool to take the plastic tabs off the side roof rails. I used a small screw driver wrapped in a eyeglass cleaning cloth. See picture. Worked great. No damage to plastic parts and they came off easily. The other pictures show that the silver color of these matches nicely with a white car with silver side rails. My vehicle is a 2016 Highlander

Fits 2016 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum
Pros:- It works great for my 2016 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum. Just drove over 6 hours, 600 miles with a Thule Force XT XL Roof Box, zero issues!Cons:- The rails are painted silver NOT chrome. It's close enough though. I thought black would be too distracting.- Instructions are junkLessons Learned:- It was quite easy to assemble as every part is clearly labeled.- Make sure to attach the rail to each mount and losen all the screws before attaching the mounts to your vehicle. This way the width of the rails can easily be adjusted.Overall:- Pretty great product! Much cheaper than what the Toyota Dealership wanted, $450.

Easy to install, looks great!
Just installed these on my 2018 Highlander Limited Platinum. They are sturdy, fit great and were very easy to install. I had a plastic trim removal tool from a previous project, which made removing the trim covers relatively easy.As others have said, make sure you size them across the vehicle before tightening the black hex screws (located on the underside of the bars. I actually put the bars on and finger tightened the mounting bolts into the vehicle to make sure the length was correct, lightly tightened the hex screws with an allen wrench, and then removed the bars to fully tighten the hex screws.I then re-installed the bars, tightened the bolts down to the vehicle using the supplied wrench until just tight, and then used a torque wrench to get the 8 N-m torque. The 4 covers went on easily, and you heard a distinct "click" when they were mounted properly.I have not heard any wind noise at speeds up to 60 mph. I think they make my new Highlander much more "sporty" and less of a family vehicle. I'd highly recommend these crossbars.
