For this 88 year old man the unit has so many features and is most confusing for me not being a high Tech guy. I brought it primarily for recording of accidents/backup feature etc. Just hope I haven't messed up the settings to where it doesn't do that for me when needed. This is one time I wish I was a whole smarter when it comes to technical settings

Brand new out of box failure. unable to press the view button to set up the feature of the camera. The vendor should sent or passed a not operate able device like this one to the field. Expensive but not worth of a device.

The first was a little piece of sticky tape to adhere to the windsheild. The sun would casue it to fall off. THe 2nd thing I didn't like was the charger. It was a plastic adaptor that was bent and the wires would always bend. I had to tape them and finally they broke. The Merrill Dash Cam does not have these two annoying features. It has a very study suction cup to adhere. I like that because if you don't install it in the right spot to get the best possible angles you can simply remove it. And it sticks very well. The charger part is not bent so the wires do not bend. I think this will prevent what happened to my other dash cam charger. It comes with a memory card and it sets up so easily. I didn't even have to read the directions. No complicated menus. I like that it has a battery that charges while you are driving and when you leave your care and remove the charger the battery will keep the camera recording. I haven't set up the rear camera. It doesn't have a charger to insert into a charger port. It must be hard wired. THe clarity of the video is very good, even at night. I am very satisfied with this purchase and has all the features I wanted. I did purchase this item at a reduced cost.

I would love the camera if it worked properly. I have another one just like this one and it has worked fine for 6 months. I've had this one for under a month and it freezes up. I'm trying to return it to the seller but they said they'd send me a coupon after I shipped it back to them. They didn't describe what coupon meant. Also, the phone number they gave me to call them is coming back as disconnected and no longer in service. That's the phone number they gave me yesterday and is on some other websites of stuff they sell; not just the camera apparently. This has turned more into an issue about the seller than the product. All I want is a replacement with new or a refund. I'm afraid to send the product back today and then get nothing in return since their phone number isn't working. References to the company name and website are in Chinese. If this is all a misunderstanding then I expect them to clear it up today.
