A House by the Sea

Rec'd my copy Tuesday morning and spent the rest of the day drooling over every single page. A House by the Sea delivered in a major way for me and I would absolutely recommend this book. Gorgeous pics and great text too. How wonderful it would be to actually SEE this heaven on earth in person !! I'm available Bunny and John - ANYTIME !!!!!!!!!!

A lovely book written in the very "Bunny" style. As with her other books you find a mixture of design, architecture, gardening, and a "how to" entertain graciously. The book is written from a very personal perspective that always makes her books so wonderful.

This was a gift to my daughter who really is enjoying the book. It is a book about the home that Bunny built in the islands. Lots of photographs and information about building and the finished product.

My favorite home anywhere

I was hoping that the Kindle version would have large, wonderful images that would look terrific on my iPad Pro. Unfortunately, the Kindle version has very small photos. When you try to enlarge them, they lose much resolution. I am sure the house itself is marvelous, and I normally love Bunny Williams' books and style, but this book was just ho-hum. Several times certain events are described, like the lovely daily breakfast that guests enjoy, but there are no photos of that. She talks in a general way about how to be a good host, but is not specific. It isn't quite a lifestyle book. There are not a lot of great decor photos or decorating advice, so it isn't quite a helpful decorating book either. It is was pleasant book for an hour's read, but not something I'll refer to over and over.

Not really a design book all the way but also includes subjects like how to run your kitchen in a house by the sea, wish had that type of dough but its still a great book to enjoy in my opinion.

It's a beautiful book, came in great condition.

A sigh for each page turned. Bunny Williams is a clever and a lucky lady, but the luck is passed onto those buying this book because it is inspirational.
