Acquired taste but massive energy boost
typically go for 3-5 mile runs every other day however with majority of gyms closing down in my area, I would run a few extra miles just to stay active. These Gel packs unable me to sustain my runs longer with adding more miles and gives me a quick burst of energy and electrolytes to ensure I can power through the runs.It terms of the flavour I went with apple and it is an acquired taste. It’s not bad but it’s quite sweet. Sickeningly sweet to some extent if you were to have a few a week, you may get sick of them. Nevertheless it may just be my taste buds, the taste is bearable. Say you are out cycling and you start to feel like you're running out of gas: shoot one of these and you're good to go.It’s become my primary fuel source during workouts now as it helps with endurance and pushing yourself further. It I a short spell of energy so only use it before a work out or when in need of an urgent pick me up. All in all a great product and great value for money.

Not Just For The Sporty... Used To Help Recover From Motion Sickness
Sadly as my knees have pretty much given up the ghost these days, these were unlikely to be used for any extreme sporting activities. I actually got these as an emergency electrolyte replacement for when one of the family is feeling poorly and in need of a boost. It turns out that happened sooner than I was expecting. My 8 year old daughter who suffers from motion sickness was sick on a short trip we were taking to a local music festival (made even more unfortunate as it was on one of the hottest days of the year!). Luckily I had packed a few of these in our bag and after she had recovered at the roadside, I gave her one to use. Now I know one sachet is probably recommended for one adult so we let her have only half the sachet and then I had the rest of it to see what it was like. The apple flavoured variety (that we got) is nice and very sweet and the packaging is easy and mess free. Tear of the corner to sip or tear the off the entire top to gulp it down, though do note that once opened by either way that you cannot reseal the pack.We then spent the next 7 hours roasting in a hot field (obviously being sensible and staying hydrated) but at least I knew that my daughter had had some electrolytes replaced that had been lost when she was sick.So I'd say that these are great to have around regardless of whether you are an active sports person or not. They aren't necessarily the cheapest way to replace electrolytes but they are tasty, a great size for trips and have a good shelf life, plus as they do not need to be kept refrigerated, a few can be kept in the car or thrown into any medical emergency bag you may have at home.

Good flavour and working well. I'm buying more.
These are good gels for doing what they are meant to do.They can pretty much be used at all times. Pre, post and during exercise. Although you won't get much of a kickstart from these. They are more for replenishment.I have mainly used them after exercise to help replace the electrolytes I lose through sweating and a bit of an energy boost. This is my first real try of gels for post workouts, usually I just have some squash with salt in.But these seem to do a much better job. They taste pretty good. They are not the best thing you will taste. But they are nice enough. After trying many drinks, shakes etc, you kind of expect the worst but these are decent. The energy gel sachet contains real fruit juice extracts which does give a authentic flavoured liquid gel. What I do find excellent about these is that they are also gluten-free, suitable for vegans, dairy-free and soy-free with no artificial colours or flavourings. So they are available to pretty much anyone. As always when I review things. I talk about the price. I do find these a bit of an expense and would say they are a luxury. There are many things you could use as a substitute to these which would cost half of the price. At current price of £32 these are retailing at £1.60 per gel. So we aren't looking at a cheap product. These are actually some of the most expensive gels on Amazon. My advice when it comes to recommending these gels are do a search. Look about. If you want something that is a bit better value there are a literally hundreds of things you could try.Are these any better than the cheaper versions? It is highly doubtful. If you match the levels of carbs they provide. You will get the same effect.Personally, I think marketing is in play here when it comes to price. Which is why I'm rating them 3*.They just seem to expensive for my liking. I would recommend them if they were £10 cheaper.

Gives an energy for some people but not for me, sadly
I have tried this energy booster but to be honest, I feel rather sleepy than ready for action.. Even energy drinks dont do much to me, i dont know why.. My husband found these gels more useful for himself. At least one of us can enjoy the "power".The apple taste is ok, with some citrus added to it. I like apples so it's fine with me.The sachets are fiddly as they dont have any lid so once open we should consume it straight away. It's like slightly thicker apple juice.I noticed that this product will expire in May 22, that's 10 months left, it's ok, will go surely before that. It's much healthier than energy drink but for its amount it's quite pricey..
