Great dress to wear for a play set in the 1800s. The fabric is thin & a slip needs to be worn underneath.

Had to return. The chest was too tight and Material is not stretchy. Overall pretty dress.

I bought this dress as a Halloween costume. I was disappointed at the length. If I had known I probably would’ve made a different choice. (My solution was to purchase fabric and attach it)

I bought this to wear for a play, and I absolutely loved it! It wears comfortably and comes to a good length. I was very happy with the fit.

The first star was earned because it has a faded look to the navy that makes it look authentic for the period. Two additional stars were given because of the style, which was simple with a flared look on the sleeves, the length fit my 10-year-old who is 5ft 1" and it hit her approximately 2 inches above her ankle. However, the sleeves were too tight, to the point that it was uncomfortable. I purchased a medium size hoping it would be a bit looser, but it was just as tight. I would say the fit is true to size because she wears adult medium in most clothes, she's a 32B and the bust area was modest and had room in it, the waist fit at her natural waist. Her major complaint was the sleeves and when she moved her arms it was uncomfortable.

We went to a dinner at a period hotel in an old mining tow from the 1860s. The dresses worked so well for us. Pretty well made, lightweight, and colors were true to the images.

Unfortunately I had to return this item because it didn't fit. I was able to get it on both over my head and by stepping in, but I guess my arms and chest were too thick to have this fit the correct way. The fabric was so tight around the arms, the dress wouldn't even reach the shoulder - I suppose this could be for chest size being too big too (42 DD), but maybe the combo was the final womp womp. That said, it's a beautiful dress and worth the price if it had fit. I wish I could have worn it (I'm a size 18/20 US although sometimes a 20/22 US women's dress size) but it just didn't work out. I ended up wearing a dress with similar cloth and putting an apron overtop to make it more era-appropriate (for an American Revolution historic event). Just be mindful for plus size (large chest/arms). Return was quick and easy, so worth at least trying!
