WWEElite D-Von Dudley Figure

Attired in his 2000-2001 red camouflage gear, D-Von Dudley, one half of the 9-time WWE tag team champions, is a welcome addition to any Attitude Era wrestling figure collection. (D-Von, along with Bubba Ray, also released in Elite Series 45, aren't officially part of Mattel's "Flashback" line, but they well should be...)The characters of the Attitude Era ('98-'02) aren't as colorful as those of the New Generation ('93-'97), so D-Von's not as flashy or eye-catching as some Flashbacks. Still Mattel's done an incredible job capturing D-Von's likeness...so much so that you can picture Bubba hollering, "D-VON...GET THE TABLES!"The good: Detailing (the tattooing of [presumably] D-Von's kids' names on his left bicep, the eye color, the tape on his knuckles). Also, again, because this figure doesn't "pop" as much as some of its contemporaries, I don't think it's facial sculpt gets nearly the credit it deserves. It's pretty spot-on. D-Von also comes with a litany of accessories: 1) a breakable table, 2) two pair of glasses, and 3) a chain. From a sheer quantity of accessories perspective, that's pretty sweet for an Elite, considering he cost just $9.24 at the time of this review.The bad: Some have complained that D-Von's lower half is bulky, but he's wearing baggy camouflage pants so it works just fine for me. Because of the team's preeminence in WWE tag-team history and evolution of the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match, I'd have loved to see one half of the tag team titles or a chair packaged with D-Von rather than an extra set of glasses. This was obviously a cost-control move by Mattel though, so it's completely understandable.For less than $10.00, D-Von Dudley is a steal. But remember, kids: “Thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not kill, and thou shalt not [mess] with the Dudleys!”

As expected, I own an ECW original d-von for collecting purpose, as well as this action figure and I believe that this series captures his most recent likeness very well!The Dudley boyz have retired from the WWE however they are present in the indie circuit as TEAM 3D and I'm just happy that WWE put these in their most recent series to commemorate one of the greatest hardcore tag teams that almost never got injured.

My son likes all things wrestling. No complaints:-)

This figure is ALMOST there- I wish I could give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Sculpt, detail, and accessories are great. For some reason, the lower-half of the figure just seems slightly oversized when compared to the top half. Other than that, an awesome figure!
