Great item love it. I know most prople buy these for love ones with problems. These are very comfortable compaired to otheres. I my self sleep walk and scratch my self after seziures. These mitts saved me many times from injury. These items are not like ment to be a restraint in means toss them on a person and there trspped. There more of an item you use under assistance of others to ware as a means help that person not get injured or pull on iv lines so forth. So font think this an item you by for your autisric kid or parent with dementia walk away, cause they can be removed whrn not watched with some efforet. But again not the attended use! And is not the correct way to use these. So please use with care and correctly! If you do your love one will be happy you use these over others!

I purchased them for my husband as an alternative to retraints. He had the hospital issued mitts that was padded only on one side. These are pPadded on both sides making it impossible for him to turn his hand over in the mitt and still use his fingers to grab things. Pulling out his catheter was the problem. They work very well, and Amazon got them to me the next day

this is our 3rd pair. for our autistic son. reduces damage from picking, hitting (himself and others), banging car window, etc. really padded and easy to put on. washable. only reason they get replaced is he bites at them and after a few months gnaws through them. we also tape the velcro straps more secure w duct tap. if the securing system was tad better this would have 5 stars for sure. i know they are really intended for the abuse they get but they sure hold their own!

These medical mitts are wonderful for adults. I purchased them for my 10-year-old daughter with a hair pulling disorder when she sleeps. Sadly, they slip off of little hands even if the Velcro is tight. I am very impressed with the comfort of the mitts themselves and my daughter said she could put them under her head and use it as another pillow it was so puffy and soft. These would be a great purchase for an adult and would take a lot of finesse to remove them as the person wearing them. They simply slide off of young hands in the middle of the night so I don’t recommend them for children even though the Velcro is long enough to make it tight around a child’s wrists.

I recently developed a rash on one of my legs and found that I was involuntarily scratching it while asleep, which was making it worse. I tried using socks, kitchen mitts, and ski gloves on my hands to try and protect the rash overnight, but I kept tossing them off in the course of the night and would wake up with a scratched rash and whatever device I had tried to use buried somewhere in the sheets. It took some effort to put these on by myself (had to thread the hook and loop strap through the loop of the last one before putting it on, then use my teeth to pull it closed) but this morning I woke up with them still on my hands and for the first time in weeks the rash felt and looked better than when I went to bed. Removal was easy using the same technique of pulling the strap open with my teeth on the first one, and while the bulk of the padding was unaccustomed, it didn't bother we while getting to sleep and it kept my hands clumsy enough to not be able to take them off while sleeping

Gloves are soft. Very hard to put on. Smaller size than showed. Don’t use them anymore as he figured out how to remove them and it was hurting him being small

These mitts worked out better than any of the others that we have tried in order to keep my mother from picking herself ( different areas of her body) They have plenty of room for her hands to move on the inside plus she isn't able to get them off. The only drawback for us was that we have to use large safety pins to pin the velcro after wrapping it around her wrists because she was able to unwrap it using her teeth (lol). Otherwise, these are the only ones that have actually stayed on. We need 2 pair so that we have a back up pair when we are washing the first ones because it takes so long for them to dry. Satisfied customer!

Purchased these gloves for my client who uses them as protection since she has severe Pica Disorder.They are perfect in helping protect the client from picking up things they shouldn't. They are comfortable and stay on without any hassle.Since they are white, you do have to keep them clean. We wash them weekly.Great purchase.
