I purchased this to use while bike riding. The volume was not loud enough even during quite rides with no traffic. The sound quality was poor and you could hear the sound swithching off left and right. Return required a $12 shipping and the Shipping which was included in the payment was not returned. Very dissapointed in the product which cost me $18 in spite of returning it. This was purchased through View your Deal and not from Amazon. I did purchase the monster neck speaker and am very happy with the sound quality and options.

"Spice of Life," the brand of this, definitely comes original. I just mean that they've come out with their own thing, and not just a copy of someone else's idea, like we all see so much of out here. All I've found is one other collar speaker with lights like this, and it's not identical or anything like that. But anyway, it sure is simple to use. If you're wearing it, on your right there is just one button. And that's for the lights, and brings to mind the one odd thing I find about this. Which is, when you hold it down to turn on the lighting, the lights start flashing first. Then, you press the button once for the second mode, and that keeps them on. Just weird that the flashing mode comes before the always on mode. Well, on the other side, the left side if you are wearing it, we have the volume up and down buttons, and of course, the power button. You just hold down the power button to turn it off and on, and then I believe the power button acts as the pause and play button too. Finally, you hold down the power button to turn it off. Oh yeah, you can answer, reject, and hang up calls with the power button too. And I have to say, the phone feature works pretty good. The music could come out of it a little louder but it comes out loud enough for me. So you're not going to get any kind of studio or concert effect out of these. Nor much of any bass either, but that's not what they are meant for. The lighting that comes out of the end of each side is pretty nice, and the fact that you can aim the light with each side independently is even nicer.

This is a handy gadget for so many activities. Its lightweight and feels comfortable around my neck. I use it for crafting, reading and when I'm cleaning up.
