This product is actually used to cut photos down to a small size and I have found it to be a lot sturdier than I had anticipated. I think this product is very value base and if you're looking for a small cutting mat this is the one to buy. I couldn't be happier, and it's already been put to use and the fact that it is sturdy is a great plus as it is used on a glass desk and the mat does not slip at all.

Works great. Exactly what I needed for my craft projects and I've found I can use it in more ways than I expected. Definitely worth the money and wish I bought it sooner.

This is the first cutting mat I've used since grade school. Upon opening it, I could immediately tell that this is loaded with plasticizers (phthalates). This is a given with PVC, but much more are required to attain self-healing properties. Didn't realize this until I started researching a little bit more. Unfortunately I can find only a couple of manufacturers that do not use such plasticizers or other additives of concern, and their products are a bit expensive for my needs. I would recommend avoiding this and other self-healing mats, though. Phthalates are no joke, and the vast amount of evidence displaying their harm to the human body is only growing. I do not believe that this product is held to any set standards of manufacturing that requires limits on the use of such plasticizers - at least not US standards, which are much more stringent than those for products manufactured and sold in China (compared to manufactured in China but sold in the US by a US-based company, which would have to meet these standards). However, current data is pointing to the fact that the laws regulating the use of these chemicals and subsequent human exposure are not effective, and this product likely contains concentrations that are orders of magnitude higher than established limits... So yeah, for your own health and safety, just avoid this. Also look at the other few reviews that are on here - they're either paid (sorry, they gave a review for a free product) or were posted by a bot. I'm happy to change my review if the company can confirm via laboratory tests that this product does not contain concerning levels of plasticizers that have endocrine disrupting effects or are carcinogenic. Till then, I'll be returning this.

Size is too small compared to the picture shown. Price is too much for such a small mat.
