Yes I believe so. My son is 9 and 4’6 and it works great. He loves this costume. It does have the fan in it- doesn’t really work without it.

Q: Can you sit down in it?

Yes you can sit down in it, it has a fan type thing that inflates constantly so as you move or would like to sit, it keeps about the same inflation. My kids have bounced around on trampolines and bounce houses as well as rested in this costume and it inflated back to shape within seconds as long as you have good battery’s.
