Indespinsible and Exceeded My Expectations
Exceptional Camera and Exceeded my Expectations0.3MP Color Camera which is good enough detail for most automotive electrical tasksCamera head is 9mm (0.35") in diameter, so it easily fits into a 3/8" holeCable length is 3.3', which is plenty long to snake through an engine compartment or under a cabinetCable diameter is 8.0mm (0.31in), but you will need at least 3" behind the camera to account for bends2.4" screen is 640x480 and is easy to view in all but extremely bright light. I did find it easier to use indoors, though, to reduce glareFocal Distance is listed as 4cm to Infinite, but I found it difficult to see beyond 6" when the light is used. During daylight conditions, I was able to see several yards clearlyCamera and Cable are both waterproof, and withstood solvent sprays without any paint blemishesMonitor is NOT waterproof, but seems extremely durable and comfortable to use...The handle is beefier than I thought (a good thing in my opinion), but lightweight. Still, it may not be comfortable for smaller hands. There are 4 white LED lights on the camera head with adjustable brightness by pressing a button on the monitor. The lights are plenty bright to see details 6" away in total darkness (like inside an engine cylinder)Can add extensions (1M, 2M, 5M) to the unit for a longer cableComes with 4 AA batteries, which have lasted me several hours of use. This is not a power hogComes with hook, mirror, and magnet, but I haven't used any of the accessories. However, they look extremely thin and may be the weak link (if there is one) to this kit.I purchased a camera from H****r Fre***t and it was 13mm and was more expensive than this. 13mm will not fit in most spark plug holes, but this camera was easily up to the task. My only complaint is that it does not come with a case, but even so, it is a sturdy durable camera...and at this price you can't afford not to buy it. I highly recommend.

this is a NICE camera. Oh sure
For the money, this is a NICE camera. Oh sure, you can't necessarily get another extension for it, it doesn't have ultra-high resolution, can't send pictures via wi-fi or bluetooth, etc, etc. But, it works very well, has 6 brightness settings, contrast settings, and a "flip-screen" (left to right or vice-versa) function. It is lightweight and inexpensive. Do I recommend you buy this camera over a Ryobi or Milwaukee? You bet.Did you order it yet?

Definately a useful tool.
When fishing for wires in the wall I have found this tool indispensable. In bright light it is color but in dark spaces it is mostly black and white. The right angle mirror is useless. It is dark and looks like polished metal. The contrast is good but I have found that it is useable in only one setting, all the other settings are poor contrast. The LED settings work well although close up you only need the first. It focuses from a centimeter or so to many feet. With the 3 ft cable you can not see from the bottom of a wall to the top thru a 3/4 hole, it is too dark or maybe out of focus, anyhow it won't work. An additional cable that's longer would be useful if you use this a lot. It is also difficult to control the cable inside a wall as you can not bend it once it's in and you have limited maneuverability with a small hole. But I would say it is worth the money and I wish I had bought one sooner.

It Works but Its Usefulness is Limited
Hard to use in a real-world setting. If you need it to be more or less straight it is great. If you have to go around some curves it is nearly useless. Also, it starts up with four view angles: correct, inverted, right and left. After one or two uses two of my views simply disappear. Seriously - WTH is up with that? It ended up being less helpful than simply sticking my eye up to the hole with a penlight just below my eye for illumination. Handy for a limited range of uses. Did not help with my problem, but it *does* work and it will be of use to me someday. The price was right. Recommended if you just want to have this ability, but not if you have a very specific use for it, as it could disappoint. I would suggest you get this if you do not currently need it. Spend some time practicing with it so you can see what you need to see. In such an environment I would recommend this without reservation. But looking down the frame rails of a Jeep was a big fail for this thing. I will need to buy something much more expensive to get the abilities I need from an inspection camera. Also, It really should have the ability to record photos, as super low-res as that tiny screen is. What would that cost the maker, like 95ยข more per unit? Simply raise the price by five bucks per unit and you would have a much better tool that would make you more profit per sale.

Great help in re-wiring old house
Bought this camera with the hope it would help me run wire in a 1910 farmhouse. Bottomline: worked great for what I used it for. While the camera didn't light up the entire wall cavity (typically 16 inches X 9 feet), it did give me great situational awareness as to what was going on in the area. I did have to plan ahead during each borescope as to how the probe needed to be bent to get at the area of interest but the length of the probe met my needs. You can get more sophisticated articulated control on more expensive cameras but...I just didn't want to spend that kind of money.Of note, the focus of the camera and its color quality were more than adequate. In fact, the only condition where the focus failed to work was when I "crashed" into various features within the wall cavity. You can call that operator error and be quite correct. :-)So...if you're also looking to run wire through an old house, this can work very well for you.
