Schmidt Brothers Cutlery, SFOPA03, Forge 4 Inch Paring Knife

BEWARE. MISLEADING AD! These are Project X knifes, suspiciously similar to this much cheaper set -  Project X by Schmidt Brothers 13 Piece Hudson Home Group Acacian Knife Set, Stainless Steel  . I bought mine from Amazon Warehouse, happy that I had found prime Schimidt Bros. knifes at a reasonable price and I was disappointed to receive knifes with the Project X package. Project X is a Hudson Home program to offer lower quality products from famous brands at a more affordable price.I give 2 stars because the knifes themselves look good. I only used the Chef once, it's sharp and solid and has a good weight and hold. They are all beautiful and I would have been happy with them if I had paid what they're worth and no 2x as much as I did. If I lived in the US, I would have returned it and ordered the cheaper set.

I continue to be impressed by this line of knives. I first bought the chefs knife and was very happy. The paring is my wife's favorite. It's a great no-nonsense knife that can hold an edge. It's also relatively inexpensive. The wood handle is great when working with slippery food, unlike the ubiquitous black bakelite handled knives which can become difficult to control. This brand and Kershaw are the best inexpensive knives I've used.

Thanks, love the knife use it daily, handle got wet and turned dark when i left it in the sink in water over night so please don't do that. User error. nice doing business with you!
