Great cook book with workable, delicious, healthy recipes
I am not vegan, but I am a working mom who is trying to get the family to eat more whole foods/veggies/beans. This book is full of amazing, healthy, easy recipes. She has already revolutionized breakfast in our house with her Overnight Oatmeal; last night I made the Salt and Vinegar Roasted Chickpeas and they were amazing! My 5 year even asked if I'd put some in his lunch the next day. They were devoured within 24 hours. The Chocolate (Espresso, but we skipped this ingredient so we could give this as a bed snack) Pudding was another instant hit. I will try the Carrot and Apple soup tomorrow. I plan to try the vast majority of recipes in this book.Almost everything in this book is made from simple whole foods. None of the recipes are complicated. This is a great cook book for people who want to be healthier but don't have hours to spend in the kitchen. I love the author's blog, and I am really happy with this book.

A Valuable Resource For Anyone In Search of Healthy Recipes
If you're looking for a cookbook that will encourage you to plan healthier meals that won't take all day to prepare, then you've got to look into this cookbook. It doesn't matter whether you're a vegetarian, an omnivore or meat eater. The recipes in this cookbook will convince you that gluten-free and vegan cooking is just as filling and tasty as any other food you typically make. I haven't been able to put this cookbook down since I got it. I love the way the cookbook is organized and the fact that the recipes represent a variety of family friendly and healthy choices. Chocolate lovers will be blown away by the gluten-free chocolateโ almond cookie recipe because they're made with undetectable black beans. I've been able to tweak some recipes so that I could use ingredients I have on hand. I can't offer enough praise for this cookbook. It will quickly become your favorite recipe resource, as it has for me. I LOVE this cookbook.

Terrible navigation
I hesitate to buy Kindle versions of cookbooks because of navigation issues. This book is the worst I have. The Table of Contents is by unique categories (Quick: 30 Minutes or Less, Easy: Effortless Slow Cooker dishes, Make Ahead: Refrigerator-Friendly Meals, Entertain: Favorites for a Crowd, Make it Yummy: Sauces, Dressings & Other Accompaniments, Pick-Me-Ups: Juices & Smoothies). The recipes are not listed alphabetically within the categories, so it's hard to find a specific recipe. Usually I would just use the Index. This book has no easy link to the index, but I navigated my own way there. I have not seen a worse Index. There is an alphabetical index, which should help but doesn't. On a search for Oatmeal Snack Bars, it's located in the O section but hard to find because it's located within O here: ... Carrot Cake Granola; Flourless Snickerdoodle Bars; Maple Vanilla Baked Oatmeal Squares; oat flour, about; Oatmeal Snack Bars; Peach Crumble; Salted Caramel Overnight Oats; etc. Why are Carrot Cake Granola, Flourless Snickerdoodle Bars, Maple Vanilla Baked Oatmeal Squares, Peach Crumb, Salted Caramel Overnight Oats in the O section of the Index? In addition, there's random indention of recipes.

Easy and delicious recipes!
Great vegan cookbook!! It lives up to the title of having easy, healthy, delicious recipes. I have followed Melissa's blog and Facebook page for awhile and love her healthy recipes. Most of the recipes in this book have easy to find ingredients and are simple to prepare. I have made a few recipes from the book and love all of them, especially the cinnamon roll muffins and southwestern quinoa casserole! Melissa includes substitution tips and notes for variations which is very helpful. Also, many of the savory recipes are very adaptable which is great because I often like to add or subtract ingredients based on what I have on hand. I can't wait to make more recipes from the book!

Easy Whole Vegan and Delicious
I love Melissa King and her recipes. I've been eating clean and Whole Foods for the past 2 years. I'm slowly moving away from meats. Her book inspires me to try new things and enjoy someone else's idea of a meal without meat. If you eat meat there are a lot of recipes that work as side dishes as well. This book is a great book. I've had the Lima and Dill soup. Easy and good. Apple cinnamon quinoa is a different treat for breakfast. Each week I look for more recipes to try from her book. I follow her Facebook page as well and she's very interactive with her followers which I find impressive.

Oh, the meals you'll create!
I'm not a vegan, but I do follow a gluten/wheat free, whole food diet. This book is an absolute treat to have on hand. It is full of recipes that are exactly what Melissa says, "easy"! The variation of the meals, easy to find ingredients from any grocery store and a focus on flavor make this book an incredible reference. My favorite are the healthy versions of desserts - oh my the things you can do with cashews! You can add in meat if you want, but with most of the recipes I've made, you don't even need it. Your eyes will open to possibilities with this 100 recipe book and your tummy will thank you.

I bought Melissa's DIY Nut Milks, Nut Butters & More and LOVE that book so I was SO EXCITED when I saw she was writing another book!!! And to make it even better....my daughter has been vegan for a year and I've been moving my family to a whole foods/plant based diet. I'm also gluten free so I was anxiously awaiting this book. The only down side was I had to wait all summer! Well, IT WAS WORTH IT!!! I am NOT a great cook. I like simple and easy and that's exactly what this book is!! Thanks so much Melissa!!!!!

Issues with the physical book
I only gave 3 stars because my book was missing 16 recipes. The book was poorly edited only because of the missing recipes and photos. The photos are beautiful. The whole pages were missing. Amazon refunded my purchase and didn't require my sending the book back so I have tried a few of the recipes. I like them but they could be a bit bland if I had followed the recipes as written, which I never do unless baking. I know my family's palate, the contents of the refrigerator and pantry, and the age of my spices and herbs so I just adjust.

A recipes collection full of allergens
I'm definitely not vegan and do not support the vegan nutrition business' wave that I consider absolutely unhealthy, but I bought this book hoping to find some egg and dairy free bake recipes. Disappointed I mainly found chickpeas and all sorts of beans recipes :-( That's worse for my body.... Sorry, no added value for me.
