The Secret Refuge: Path of the Ranger, Book 5

I am binging the whole series. So far it has been excellent!!! Each book has been consistently well written, and I am really enjoying them!

I truly enjoy reading this series. The length is far more enjoyable than the mini-books found everywhere these days. This episode has a fun and interesting twist at the end!

It is a good read. The story is growing and the characters too. It's a little slower than the other books but still makes me want to find out what happens tomorrow.

I am enjoying how each book in the Path of the Ranger flows! Character developments are so incredibly written- the lands and all their environment surroundings are in great detail. This series is so well written in my opinion, I have an ongoing adventurous movie in my head! I am able to visualize images of the magical creature called Camu! I do love reading this series!

What a great book. I couldn't put it down. It was different without Gerd, Nilsa, and Egil. But, it was an excellent continuation of the series.

Somehow the author finds a way to slowly ramp up the difficulty and stakes that our group finds themselves in. There were a few twists and some you saw coming. However one part, a plot point seemed to go on a bit however I can see why. Again this wrapped up well with promise for another book

As this saga continues we learned about the areas of specializations sought by Lasgol, Asrid, Viggo and others. The skill preparation was exciting, hard but fun for all. The mid year test to determine who would continue and who would return to the Rangers was tense and stressful for our young adventurers. The results were both expected and unexpected. Looking forward to the second half of the process towards the adventurers goals to reach each of their sought after specializations.

I am glad that the best team goes where they are meant to be. However, the shelterwhile it is a secret refuge for rangers, it is not for the snow panthers who go there. It is another challenge they must overcome or risk or all.

From Book 1 I have enjoyed the adventures of Lasgol and his friends. There is loyalty, friendship, honor, respect, nature anmals, magic and magical creatures, and aslo the nasty aspects of becoming a young adult: betrayal, danger, evil...With each book the characters grow more interesting, and some of them are truly funny.I have given the whole series-so far- to friends and relatives from ages 9 to 91 and they all love them. Please read them, we need adventures and characters like these!

Definitely recommended for fantasy lovers.It's an coming of age story of an ranger who rises above all his obstacles.
