Merry Christmas, Ollie board book (Gossie & Friends)

Unfortunately I was disappointed with this book's content. It seemed really bland and something seems to be missing that the other books in this series have.My 1 year old has loved Ollie ever since she received her first book (Easter) when she was six months old. We've purchased Halloween and have read other books with these cute goslings. Sadly this book is a bit of a let down. I was really hoping for something more endearing and it felt like with this story some corners were cut. I give three stars though because of the quick shipping, lovely artwork, and the physical quality of the book itself was perfect as to be expected. I wouldn't recommend using this story to introduce your little one to this cute gosling. Try your library instead.

This is a terrible book. As another reviewer pointed out there is no plot. Ollie waits and waits for Christmas until at the very end Christmas does finally arrive with a present. There was no plot and it made no sense. It did however, foster the spirit of Give Me, Give Me Christmas presents as the true meaning of Christmas. If you want your child to be programmed into thinking Christmas is all about waiting and then receiving presents then this book is for you.

I bought "Oliver who was Small but Mighty" for my nephew and somehow accidently bought this a few weeks later WAY before Christmas time. It was still a great gift even though he can't read yet lok

I'm not familiar with these books, just got because I needed Christmas books. The story is very very simple and not much to it. It would be good for early readers.

Not a fan of this book. Much better Christmas reads out there for 2yr old. This one just drags on forever

i love Ollie books. he is a sassy little goose! simple text, and i love that Ollie is so impatient! isn't that how a kid feels waiting for christmas?!?! my 9 month old can't quite relate to this yet, but he definitely will relate to this character as he gets older.lovely, simple artwork.

Love this book series. So very cute. So very simple.

The characters in this series are fun and make for an interesting read for a toddler. This book really evokes the spirit of Christmas featuring the well known goslings in Oliver Dunrea's series of Gossie & Friends books. It's beautifully illustrated which means that you can talk through everything that is going on in each page as well as reading its text. I thoroughly recommend this as a great holiday book.

All three of my children love the Gossie & Friends books, so was pleased to add this to the collection. I Was a little disappointed as the story for me wasn't quite as good as others. Still my youngest daughter loves it and that's what counts!

This was a present for my son (Ollie's) first Christmas! It was a lovely story, pictures and in great condition :-)

We love these books about "Ollie" because my child's name is Oliver and he just thinks it is the best.
