Almost parallel...
I haven’t used them yet but they aren’t perfectly parallel which means not parallel.Depending on your needs it may suffice. But with some jewelry these tolerances are not acceptable.I will update if anything changes but they should be perfectly flush when closed if they were truly parallel

Terrible pliers
The jaws are not parallel by a couple of degrees. In the open position the handles are too angled to easily hold. When you do try to close the pliers, there’s a lot of resistance and a somewhat gritty feel, and at the open end of operation the jaws interfere with the handles causing them to stick. It looks like it was oiled after assembly, but no care given to cleaning up the excess. The grip “texture” does almost nothing, though at least it’s not sharp.

excellent tool for leatherworking
Solid feel, grips well, and smooth jaws will not grind up your needles. I purchased this pair of pliers on a friend's recommendation. Sometimes, when hand-stitching through multiple layers of heavy leather, you need pliers to pull the needle through. Your typical, off-the-shelf pliers will do the job, but the serrations in the laws will damage your needles over time. the scoring on the needles will make them harder and harder to use. These pliers are the solution. A good grip without damaging your needles. Very satisfied with these.

An excellent value. On reviewer commented that the jaws are ...
An excellent value. On reviewer commented that the jaws are not exactly parallel. They are a few thousanths off but designed so that the tips hit first and become parallel. With modest pressure, no light is visible between the jaws. There is no side to side play whatsoever. I'm sure there are ultra precision tools on a higher level. I'm sure they cost a whole lot more. These pliers are beautifully made and an incredible value.

You get what you pay for
For how high of a rating these things received, I am extremely displeased with them. The springs are held on by a small metal tab that will wear out quickly. The plyers grind when you use them. The surfaces of the jaws are not square.

Worthy tool!
Jaws stay parallel and have good gripping ability. Stays straight under pressure.Has performed well in every situation I have used them in!

Needle nose wrench for areas with limited access
Used to remove a Universal friction holder that had been screwed in at a bad angle on a Starrett "Last Word" test indicator without marring the instrument, it had one job, and did it without issue.while it was single use case, the tool itself shows signs of being useful for wrench like applications where space or maneuverability are constrained.

Well made, spring strength can be adjusted.
Well-made pliers. The springs are VERY strong. To accommodate my smaller grip I unhitched one spring in the handle. Much easier to squeeze now, and the remaining spring on the other side retracts just enough.
