It's good
Didn't get a chance to use it much, stripers were being finicky lol. But it's a good product

Big bait
As expected this is a chunky soft plastic. I’ve only tossed it for practice so far to see how it casts and watch it swim. It’s a full 3 oz but doesn’t cast any better than the 9” (maybe worse?) due to wind resistance. Doesn’t dart like the smaller one either. It kind of lumbers. Gotta play with it some more to see if I can make it dance. The two-hook rigging looks neat BUT it’s not done the McKenna way. The line connecting the hooks is tied to the eye of the head hook. This seems like the lazy way. The problem is that with a TA clip in the hook eye, as it moves around it will rub on the knot connecting the hook line. Eventually it will wear away the line and the back hook will no longer be attached to the front hook. This will not be obvious until a fish hits the back hook and simply pulls it out. The better way (the only way) is make multiple half hitches on the upper shank of the head hook and then tie it off with two overhand knots. Oh well. You live and learn.

Birds will not eat it but seagulls will try
Great substitute for eels. I fish north shore Massachusetts for striped bass. This works from middle to late June to migration in October. It’s a fish catcher.

My go-to lure.
Easily the most consistently successful lure in my tackle box. The other colors, too, but pearl seems to be the favorite!
