They have a flattering fit, nice stretch and tummy support. The waist seems a little bigger compared to hip measurements. I like that though because I can get a puffy tummy from time to time. I usually order a size smaller for a perfect fit. I wear a size 29/30 waist in most other jeans or a size 8/10. With these I can order a size 6/7 and they fit perfect. I'm 5'6" 170-175 pounds.

I am a size 16, and 5 foot tall, so it is hard to get nice fitting pants or shorts. These shorts fit and look very nice. They are a tad big, I am going to try a 14 also. They are made very well.

I tried them on as soon as they arrived. Wasn’t sure the size would be good and thought they might be too long but I put them on and I love them!!’ They fit like a glove but have a stretchiness about that doesn’t make them uncomfortable. The length is good but if I wantto roll them up one more time, I can. I’m getting another pair in a different color!

These shorts are cute. They are a nice length not too short or too long. The waist has a nice stretch band to them.

I gained some weight during the pandemic and haven't been able to lose it, so I haven't felt great in shorts lately. But on a whim I decided to try these, and they are great! The length is perfect and the fit is flattering. And as a bonus they are super comfy because there is some stretch to the denim and the waist band has some give. Love them!

First off I never thought I would spend $70 on a pair of denim shorts from Amazon but I was pleasantly surprised. They fit well and the mid rise hits in the right spot for me as I am short waisted and cannot wear high waisted anything. I got a size 12, I am 5'4" and 175lbs. I felt like they were supporting my abs but not uncomfortable.Taking them on vacation will update if anything else stands out.

I have a pair of these jeans that I LOVE so when my size was marked down, I ordered the shorts. So happy with them. Super comfortable and cute. This is now my go to brand for denim. Stretch for comfort but appears like traditional denim. I’m watching a colored pair of the jeans and hoping they go down as well. I’d be able to wear them to the office! Wish they had more office options so I could wear them daily.

I love this brand and style of shorts. I’m 5’5 and in my 60’s the length is very nice cuffed or can be longer uncuffed.

I love the Democracy brand, and was excited to get a good pair of shorts. These fit around the butt and waist fine, but when i rolled up the cuffs (as shown in the photo for that style) they got more than a little snug around my thighs. I do know they stretch with time and wear, so it's not like I won't get used to them, but considering I ordered the same size I always have, it's a little frustrating. Still, good condition, good color and if they're like my other items, they'll last a good while.

I love the fit and colour of these shorts. They are figure fitting and very complimentary to the shape of my body. I ordered more Democracy shorts and now have a great summer wardrobe.

These are my favourites. Fit a touch on the big side on the waist i find bc of the stretch. However they were nicely snug everywhere else and a flattering fit for my 30-something Mom butt.Perfect length (for ref i’m 5ft 9) - they hit about mid-thigh, short enough without any accidental butt cheek when you bend down. Bonus.

Hands down the best shorts I own. They are the perfect colour, length and size. I bought sz 16, I'm 210 and 5ft. 4.5in tall. They have stretch in all the right places and a nice thick waist band. Highly recommend!
