Secret Societies: Unmasking the Illuminati, Freemasons & Knights Templar

A peek inside the world of secret societies.
This is a book in a larger series of books called “Lightning Guides” in which each book explores a different complex topic. This book is about the history of secret societies. Some of the interesting topics that are touched on in the book are the Illuminati, temples & lodges, the secret service, the KKK, and many other secret societies. There are so many interesting tidbits that you will find in here that you never knew. This is a very insightful book that can be picked up like a magazine to enjoy a short article or two, or you can sit down and read the entire book in a couple of days. I like the format and the size (it's smaller than a typical paperback), and that it's easy reading with some great background of the topic. *I received a sample of this item in return for an honest and unbiased review*

As I received this book free in exchange for an honest review, I suppose I can’t complain of the contents, but still I am disappointed. Most of the information in the book was already known to me, and while I do appreciate a different perspective, I felt like certain parts of the text were literally lifted from my world history book. Overall, if you’re looking for a book in a subject which you already know , this is not the book for you. But if you are seeking a quick overview, this will be of help.

Disastrously dissapointing!!
it only gives broad brushes of what secret societies are from time to time and the examples therefof from different generations. No revealing information of the most famous and influential secret societies and their true activities to present time. Nothing new, and for the new informations the book actual shares, they are hardly interesting nor relevant to our lives. Totally the opposite to why i bought the book at the first place.

Very informative
I was excited to read this book and I was not let down! This is another great Lightning Guide and has the same detail I have come to expect in these. This particular one is about secret societies ranging from Ku Klux Klan to Shriners. I never realized that there were secret societies that were actually helpful. I think my favorite section was about women and the secret societies that have formed over the years. There is a section that has 10 facts about dangerous traditions groups have had. I learned a lot reading that and got extremely creeped out. I am amazed (and disgusted) that some groups actually eat people! As with other lightning guides, you do not need to read this book from beginning to end. Instead, you can go to which section you want by reading the table of contents. I am sure everyone can learn something about secret societies in this book.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

A short and interesting read
I found this book very interesting. Overall I like Lightning Guides because they give a good introduction to topics without being tedious and long. I was able to get through this book in about an hour and learned a lot of great facts about Secret Societies that I had never known before. It's not enough info to make me an expert in the subject by any means, but more than enough to hold conversations and impress my friends with random facts like how there is a secret society in the UK that worships Peacocks and another in India that eats the dead. If you have any interest in learning about secret societies throughout history, or just like learning random facts, I defintely reccomend this book. It's set out in an easy to read and fun to follow format so it should make for an enjoyable afternoon.*I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

A Concise, Interesting, Entertaining and Fun Look At Secret Socities
This book is a very entertaining, informative and fun exploration of various secret societies. It covers everything from the Freemasons to the Shriners. Furthermore, it has an intriguing chapter about some of the "sisterhood" secret societies that have formed over time, which was a real eye opener. Along with all this, it provides a readable and concise history of the Crusades. Finally, it even includes a chapter on the gathering halls some secret societies meet in. So, if you're a history buff who wants to bone up on secret societies, someone who has always been curios about them and wants a some fast information, or just someone who appreciates a good book, you should take a look at this. It is very enjoyable. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

KKK
This deals with various secret societies. Each group is mentioned only briefly, a small print 100 page book. I thought it was worthwhile

its a small book which is fine but not all that much detail
Kind of disappointing, its a small book which is fine but not all that much detail. I could find more information online than what is in the book although I do respect that it comes from the writer's own perspective albeit without much comment or opinion.
