If you plan on using these to mount your speakers to your box, the speaker hole cutout will need to be perfectly square. You must use a router and circle jig to cut the hole. Hole needs to be as tight as possible to allow enough wood area to accept this insert. If you are going to use them to mount from the inside so it clamps the speaker to the baffle, you will need to use a drill guide so that the drill is perfectly perpendicular to the speaker baffle or else the hole will be off and the bolts will either cross thread or push the insert out. Plus check each insert as some of them do not have the holes drilled perfectly straight down the middle. Found a few that were off by a few degrees. Very frustrating.

Used these to install a subwoofer and have had no issues with installation and have changed subs three times and there still going stromg. One suggestion is put a dab of wood glue or something before you screw them in. They will hold without glue but I always err on the side of caution.

I wish they were a little bit longer to bite into more material. They should come in different lengths for different applications . But overall these little things saved me from buying all new doors (12)for my home. All my interior doors were all falling off their hinges due to garbage particleboard material being used. I removed all the striped wood screws and installed these little gadgets and then used 8/32 machine screws. THEY ARE GREAT! SOLID!

I used these on hard wood and plywood. They worked very good, and they are easy to install.

Like several of the other reviewers already commented you must size the hole for the material it is going into. It may take some trial and error so start with the tip diameter and work up from there. Once you get to a point that it is tight but not going to break your wrists going in then you are good. Used these for cracked door hinge frames. Most of them went in with no problem but I did have to use epoxy on one door that already had an oversized hole in the frame. Put a screw in it, sank it flush (but no torque), let it sit for 24 hours and tightened another quarter turn. Been working ever since with no issues.

Successfully used to extend the life of my twins’ full size bed frames from Havertys. Why Haverty’s supplier couldn’t spend an extra few pennies on decent hardware is beyond me.

Perfect for my custom subwoofer box. Super easy to use, allen key fit good, threads were good. They actually look much better than the picture. The picture makes them look like low quality metal, but they are much better.

I gave it five stars because it was pretty much easy and straight forward to use /install.

Worked well for my amp rack in my truck. The metal for the Allen key section is a bit thin so don’t over torque them. Great product
