HONEYWELL THERMOSTATS HON TH6220D1002 2H/2C T STAT 2 STAGE

Easy to install. Did need a little help on the settings (instructions were not quite clear enough - I have high efficiency, two stage gas heat, no AC). But Honeywell customer support call was excellent. Walked me through each setting to get it right. Working just fine. Also got a follow up e-mail from the reseller (HVAC Connection) just checking in to be sure everything was o.k.

We discovered in our Church, the two stage AC was operated by a one stage thermostat, for the last 18 years! So getting the AC lined up with the proper controller is better for the unit and the electric bills. This worked fine, and the price was good,

Only gave 4 stars because for a heat pump it is important to run the full initial setup (temp up plus fan at same time) as described to get full operation and this is not obvious, Other wise the default is for a 1 Heat/1 cool conventional (option 1-0). If not changed you may never get heat with a heat pump. Select option 1-5 for a 2 heat/1 cool heat pump with aux heat. Table has other selections. Also if you get heat instead of cooling, you need to reverse the relay (option 5-1). Finally it is capable of full automatic heat/cool changeover (option 12-2) but the default is manual Heat/Cool/Off (option 12-0)Note: for automatic the schedule settings change to a het temp and a cool temp for each time.Finally if HEAT or COOL is flashing, it is in the five minute delay to protect the compressor.Table is on page 5 if the installation instructions, a .pdf is available online.This is particularly important if replacing a 5000 series with the 6220D.

Easy to program, works great. Love the battery backup as we lose power occasionally. Usually just long enough to drop the program on our last thermostat.

Purchased back in July and it has been running flawlessly. Everything I wanted and not much clutter for my two stage system. Thanks!

This product would not work. We had it professionally installed and it still didn't work correctly. I wall return it.

This product works well but the company sent me a defective unit and I ended up buying locally and sending this back.
