This is superior to all changing pads i have seen as far ...
This is superior to all changing pads i have seen as far as quality goes. It feels great and not at all plasticky. What i don't like is the size. I don't know why there isn't a more standard size for changing pads/tables. It didnt fit my babyletto changing dresser by a half inch, so i had to remove the top and use it as a dresser mounted one. It's fine but i like the look and security of it being contained in a changing table better. It attaches "safely" to the dresser top but i'm going to look for something grippy to stick to the dresser so it doesnt slip as much. Also my cute changing pad covers from land of nod are way too big for it. Wish i would have known how much these items vary in size. Besides those gripes, as a functional place to change and dress the baby it's perfect.

22 months of use and still going strong
I've used this changing pad for about 22 months and have been very satisfied. The changing pad has held up well with few signs of wear. The waterproof cover is excellent at keeping the pad from soaking up liquids and makes cleanup a breeze. I also purchased two changing pad covers, both were made to fit a standard 16 x 32 changing pad and worked with this pad. I don't use the buckle, but it's nice to know it's there if you have a squirmy child.I use a dresser with a slick top for our changing table, occasionally this pad would slide on the top of the changing table. I put a strip of textured contact paper underneath the changing pad and that cut down on the slippage.I've purchased a second pad as I am expecting another child, I didn't want to give up the changing pad for either child's room.

No smell, feels well-made, but it's mostly air and a little less structured than foam
My wife and I bought this because the other "Natural" changing pad we bought had a powerful chemical smell that didn't dissipate even with a few days of airing out. We are very pleased that this one has no odor and seems to really live up to its description. It is well-made with heavy stitching, rugged fabric, and good straps and table-mounting screws. However, one downside is that the core of this pad is basically just a pad of polypropylene (plastic) tubes filled with air. I'm not worried about durability or anything, but compared to the foam pad that smelled bad, this one has a lot less structure. It would have been better in my opinion if it had a stiffer back and more cotton stuffing to make the scooped shape a little more pronounced.I initially gave this only 4 stars, but then I realized that to do so would pull its rank down, and in my opinion this is still better than those foam pads that get 4+ stars, so I'll give it a 5 and just leave these pros and cons in the review. Otherwise people who sort by rating will miss this pad, and my rating will have therefore been counter-productive.

Very nice changing pad
This changing pad has really helped changing times. We have a very active little 5 month old daughter who loves to roll around while Mom or Dad tries to get a clean diaper in place. Having the contoured sides helps minimize the rolling (we used to have a flat pad) although she does her best to test the limits. We don't bother with the strap or fastening the pad to the table as we make sure to always keep a hand on her while she's being changed. It's waterproof, so no worries about moisture getting inside and growing bacteria. Be sure to use a cover because the waterproof surface repels liquid making it spread. If your baby decides to pee while being changed, you're going to want something to absorb the liquid to keep it from going everywhere. The only thing that could make this pad better would be if it had a stiff backing. We have a few covers for when the others are in the laundry and while they all fit, some of the tighter ones tend to lift the sides of this pad just a little. This does not happen with the Naturepedic changing pad cover designed for this changing pad.All in all, this has been a great purchase. Highly recommended!

No impressed with quality for price
I was looking for a non toxic changing pad for my bedroom, I purchased the Naturepedic Changing Pad Naturepedic Changing Pad 2-sided Contoured and the Simmons Kids Beautysleep Naturally Contour Pad Simmons Kids Beautysleep Naturally Contour Pad . I poured water on each pad to test them. Here is how they compare.Simmons Kids:Adequate padding. No smell or odor on arrival.Even surface feels like a woven fabric.Water rolls and puddles in the middle of the pad.Repels water, but feels slightly damp after it is wiped away.Approximate Dimensions: 31.5" W x 16" L x 4.375" H with a 17.25" curved area.*Naturepedic:The fabric bunches creating an uneven surface.Cover shown in product picture, but is not included.Water rolls down the pad and off the sides of the pad.Water easily wipes away and the surface feels dry after words.Very dense padding, make the edges studier then the Simmons.Fabric is smooth, feels like plastic, and and a slightly oily coating.Arrived with a much stronger order than expected. Took weeks to dissipate.Approximate Dimensions: 30.62" W x 15.25" L x 3.25" H with a 16" curved area.*Final thoughts:The Simmions Kids is half the price of the Naturepedic, and seams like higher quality.
