The Cure: A Young Adult Dystopian Novel: 1 (The Cure Chronicles)

Another belter
K. A. Riley has managed to intertwine so many different parts from her other near future dystopian novels, that although they all incorporate different universes, you immediately feel comfortable with each new universe. This universe is no different, and we finally get to see what life is really like in the huge, darkly mysterious Arcologies inhabited by the wealthy and the elite.I can't wait for the next installment in The Cure Chronicles.

Love love love
Move over Hunger Games because theres a new fandom in town! This is honestly one of the best books I have ever read. You dont see the plot twists coming and they come so hard you get whiplash! Highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It will make you fall in love from page one.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

No emotional connection to the characters
I know a lot of YA science fiction uses the same tropes but this felt like a cut and paste job taking from books like The Hunger Games, Uglies, etc. The main thing I was disappointed about was that I didn’t feel any connection to the characters so I didn’t really care where the story was going. The clues that were written about the backstory were less than subtle but somehow, there were still insufficient clues to begin building a compelling history/world. Wasn’t completely unreadable but have no desire to read the next one.

exciting opening novel
A blend of hunger games and divergent, while still being its own original YA storyline. Interesting start to the series. Looking forward to more

Exciting
This book was engaging from the beginning. I was invested in the characters and really wanted them to succeed. There's ups and downs that are just right, nothing too jarring. A nice, easy read.

Perfect next read for dystopian fans needing a new series
This book was great and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. If your a fan of The Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Matched and other similar dystopian, then listen up cause this book series is for you.Ashen is a 17 yr old who has the chance to change her family's lives finds out that the opportunity may not be all that it seems. She is an intelligent and independent girl who fights in more ways then one for her values.A compelling story that is beautifully told, would recommend it to anyone needing a new world to drive into.

Easy read with an intriguing story
This is an engaging book with relatable characters. The storyline and wording are similar to other books that I have read but are different enough to make it unique and interesting.

4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I thought I knew where this book was going, but I was wrong!! It kept me guessing right until the very end. I think I read this book in one day!! I couldn't put it down.It follows Ashen who upon turning 17 is sent to The Arc to live and train for 1 year in hopes of obtaining The Cure for herself and her family. The Blight ravished the neighborhoods outside of the Arc. Most adults died as a result, including her father.Once she gets to the Arc, she discovers everything is not as the government has led everyone to believe. She must navigate life on the Arc all while attempting to discover the truth.I highly recommend picking up this book. It is the first in a series that will not disappoint.

Meaty plot but cardboard characters
I've read through the series so Ill be posting a comment for the first and last book. The plot is good really good like taking the award home at the end of the day kind of good but the characters are cardboard or comic book style if you will. You have one point of view but many characters with only base line thought and some of the lines were so cheeseball they made me laugh. The main character seems a bit empty headed reiterating the same thoughts with not much else. Its worth the read and dear author I can't wait to see what you do in the future for their is so much potential in your ideas but your skill set is lacking for the proper greatness your ideas deserve. I mean that only in the best way and thank you for sharing your books with the world.
