No issues with the suction cups here, but did have difficulty with the velcro strips, so some light does still come in. It's fine for us though as we also have blackout curtains, so most of the light is kept out anyway. When I put it up I cleaned the window, dried it fully, applied a little moisture to the suction cups and pressed firmly to the window. Have had the blind up for a month or so now and hasn't once come away - even when i've caught it opening the window. Easy to cut to size. As I said at the beginning, I did struggle to get the velcro strips to work, but the suction cups work perfectly so it's no issue for us. If you don't have blackout curtains, you may need to spend some time getting the blind as flat to the window as possible, as a small amount of light will still come through at the edges. I don't mind this though as it helps remind my baby that it's still daytime when he's napping, it's just much darker which is nicer.

I was going to buy black out curtains but opted for these instead due to our dodgy curtain pole.The sticker parts work great on the standard white plastic window frames you see in most houses - can remove without residue.My only concern is that they trap condensation, however, I have not seen any mould since I've had them for a year. Our bedroom tends to be drafty so I am not sure if this would be okay in a damp prone room.

Had to be returned as there were so many holes in it, it was like a map of the constellations. These didn't appear to be holes right through the fabric, more holes in the black side of the fabric which when held up to the light could be seen. Not impressed - only found out on the holiday we intended to use it on.

Works very well, genuine blackout material. Suction cups work well and hold it firmly. A little difficult to fully eliminate all gaps on a velux window, but purely because of the shape of the window itself rather than any issue with this product. Far cheaper that replacing the official velux blind in a rented house.

Works well. Perhaps not the most elegant solution (in our own house we'd get proper blinds) but we're away in Belgium and renting a place out for 3 years and one of our kids is in an attic with 2 velux windows. Covers them which we need as she doesn't sleep well in lack of complete darkness. She's happy, we're happy.
