FCS DOUBLE SOFT CAM LOCK Surfboard Car Racks

These are good little surfboard racks that do their job well. Only a couple comments:1. There's a neoprene slip cover at the ends of the straps by the metal buckles, I assume to cover the underside of the metal buckle to prevent it from scratching your car. Unfortunately, with how the neoprene is stitched to the strap, it does not actually cover the buckle and I have to be careful when tightening it on my car.2. This is a double rack with 2 pads so you could place 2 boards next to each other. But there is only one strap that secures across both pads. It would make more sense to have a separate strap for each pad (our last set had that feature and it was more convenient). If you only have 1 board strapped in, there is quite a lot of horizontal wiggle room for the board. If you strap down tightly enough, it stays secure, even on highway, but I'd rather have one close strap over one pad.

Thought it had a locking mechanism so nobody can steal my board. They call it a cam lock which is confusing what they're calling it when it's just the strap lock which doesn't lock. I was looking for a key locking mechanism for my roof

These soft racks work great, hold tight and can hold some decent weight. I've used them for boards and also gear. Only thing is I wish I would've gotten the ones with the D-rings I could have used that option a few times already.

If you end up in a rainstorm, be prepared for your car to leak if these are on...otherwise they are great and super easy to use.

Good product it held my surfboard but a little shaky. Really would like to try the Huntington surf racks but my car doesn't have gutters and I also read on one of your reviews that the Huntington that doesn't require gutters are also shaky. What to do? Help me.

It was an xmas gift for a 17 yr old nephew who wanted something easy to attach when he needed to take the boards out but not have a rack when he was tooling around town and/or school. He said it was easy to attach to car and the boards fit. He was happy so I was happy.

I do not care much for the product however the company has been very good, and they should have a good review. they are are only the middle man of this product and they contacted me right away. So please know that my last review was for the product only and not for this company that sold it.Taneen

I have a very tiny car and a very big surf board 8ft to be exact and I was pretty nervous about the drive to ocean going well but I did everything correctly and these bands held everything in place. The straps are really long so even if you had a big ol car they could fit nicely.
