What is it?MEOREX's selfie light is a wireless LED ring light clamp with a built in rechargeable battery. The ideal purpose for this item is for adding light to front facing cameras recording video or taking photos.How is it?On initial inspection it seems like a neat little product. It's delivered in a cute little box and comes with a Micro USB cable to recharge. However, there isn't any instruction manual or guides on how to use the product or charge it, so you'll have to look around the product and find it out yourself.There is only one button and the charging port is right next to it, covered up by the silicone material that houses the button - and it's near impossible to open it to recharge unless you have very long nails or a tool to dig it out. When you do manage to prise it open, there's no light to indicate that it's charging. This is a basic feature which is disappointly omitted in this design.The light has 3 temperature modes and each have 3 brightness modes. It cycles through the brightness of one temperature before moving to the next and to switch the light off it's a long hold on the button. The clamp is spring loaded and the rubberised material on the inner part of the clamp doesn't damage or affect the phones usability.However, testing the usability on an iPhone 7 and a Samsung S7, both seem to have the same result in which the light does give a lot of light haze around the edges of each photo, due to the proximity of the light to the front fancing lens and also the way the LEDs shine.Conclusion/Verdict?This is a neat little accessory which is innovative. Unfortunately a lack of instructions and poor image lighting quality (even on its dimmest setting) results in a disappointing product which had the potential. There's room for improvement here.

Works well - but some usability issues
I feel this ring light provides a lot of light for its size and works surprisingly well. I tried using it on my laptop for video calls and find it provides a surprising amount of extra light given its size. It's small and the clamp is easy to use and works well for keeping it attached to the screen.However, I also had some usability issues. There are 3 light modes - and 3 intensity levels for each light mode - which makes a total of 9 modes you have to cycle through to get to the one you want if you want to change mode. This isn't a major issue if you stay on the same light mode but can get annoying if you need to change mode. I also found the rubber flap fiddly to use/lift.I found that it didn't last very long on battery at full power - after about 20 minutes it had dulled significantly. I feel it's maybe best suited to using for short bursts - rather than as a light source for longer things like video calls. If using for longer, I think it's best used plugged in (the wire provided is quite short though).The button for switching between modes was fine at first - but can now be fiddly sometimes. I find I sometimes have to press it at the right angle for it to work, which is annoying, especially because you have to cycle through to get the light mode and intensity needed.I like this little ring light overall and would recommend it if you don't mind the idea of the usability issues mentioned. I think it works fine if you're looking for something small and affordable that provides a decent amount of light for short periods of time.

Easy to use and highly portable
This is a handly little face-illuminating light that clips onto a mobile phone and a tablet very easily. It is perfect for answering video calls when one is sitting in the dark, e.g., whilst watching TV or even at times when you take a video call and the phone signal turns out to be best in the garden at night! The battery holds out for only an hour, so I wouldn’t plan on using it for a long video call but it does the trick for call lasting shorter than that. It comes with a USB charging cable that can be inserted into a USB plug and charged directly off the mains or it can be plugged into a computer or a powerbank. It is not the most powerful bit of kit but is easy to carry around, useful and very reasonably priced. The colours on offer are quite girlish. I ordered the blue as it seemed the most shareable colour with my husband but the blue turned out to be a sweet-looking mint green rather than a light blue. That’s not really an issue as we plan to use this product at home only.

This light will improve quality of your pictures!
Been looking for a ring light and I decided to order this one. ( This will take your selfies and mobile photography to the next level ) beauty shots, portraits, and macro photography.I have been using it for a few days now and I love it. It's easy to clip on your phone or tablet, providing 3 levels of brightness for different lighting condition. The maximum level seems bright enough for low light condition.If you want crystal clear and not blurred photos on your phone, you should consider this light because it is shaped like a circle around your camera lens. The use of this light reduces the camera's gain and increases shutter speed.This shape of light is much better than flash because when light shines from all directions around the lens (top, bottom, left and right) there are no shadows on the background behind the object you are photographing or filming.Overall really happy with it and would recommend it
