Very very good ram copy works flawless and has fast charging port
Much better than I expected for the money ..I was surprised with the weight of the package . Its very strong plastic and metal .Works just like a ram unit fraction of the price .. I was worried it would not hold as my phone couldn't fit in centred due to buttons (Galaxy s10+)But it was not a problem ..I put an old Tom Tom unit on it first rather than risk my expensive phone and it did not wobble one bit ..I used the smaller handlebar u bracket on my bandit 650 motorcycle .. a good tip , use loctite or in my case clear nail varnish when u nip up the bolts with a spanner it will stop them vibrating lose ...I gave my bike a good thrashing to see if it would move and it did not budge and the tom Tom sat nav was heavier than today's smartphones .. I wired the 2 wires straight to the battery and the USB port works really well as does the switch to power off the USB..only gripe is u need have the USB plug cover open to see the light to let u know power is on ..but hardly a problemGood points ..Very sturdyWell madeCan get any angle with 2 swivel points .Really easy phone in and out even with gloves on can remove and reinsert ..Bad pointsThe grips do catch the buttons if u place it central on Samsung phones ..reposition worksThe wiring does not come with an inline fuse , essential if you ask me I added one .Summary if you looking at a ram mount this is a very very good copy at a fraction of the price .I would not even say the ram grips tighter they both grip very well ..It's amazing for the priceAnd the ram don't have a power port ..Even at same price I would pick this . Wrap your usb lead around the base to make it short and you can use navigation software bluetooth without killing battery

Wire them properly and save yourself some grief...
Let's face it, these are cheap but they pretty much do the job perfectly. The downside is that the recommended way of installing them (directly to the battery) can cause you a big problem... a flat battery. If you leave the holder 'on' (it has an LED and whatnot even when not in use), it will eventually drain the battery and leave you stranded if you can't bump start the bike. The 'smart' way to fit is is to NOT wire it to the battery directly but to wire it to a switched / ignition wire. I.e. a wire that only has power after you turn the key on. The sidelights, running light, number plate light etc. Find one of those (the internet is your friend), and buy a "Quick Splice Electrical Wire Terminals and T-Tap Nylon Fully Insulated Male Spade Connectors Kit". This allows you to tap into a wire without having to cut it.In short, probably look under your seat as it's less likely to get water in there. Find a switched live wire. Tap into it. Attach the positive from the phone holder to that and the negative to the battery negative terminal (or other negative / ground wire). Possibly wrap it with electrical tape (or loom tape) and you're done. Now the phone holder will be disconnected from the battery when you turn your bike off.If you're also being extra safe (like me), you'll also get an inline fuse on your positive wire. If you tap into an existing wire, you're also covered by that circuit's fuse, but better to put a lower amp-age fuse on the phone holder wire so that if there is a problem (short etc), the in-line fuse will go first and not affect the circuit you tapped into.Usual disclaimer... if you burn your house / bike / eyebrows after attempting / botching this, it's your own fault. But hopefully this helps.

Good value
I really like this product. Even though the materials are not A1 this is a really sturdy product and it comes with two options of installation. Handlebar or mirror. I have installed my on the handlebars as i did not want to leave the threads of the mirror screw exposed to the rain as you cannot install back the rubber cap.It also comes with an installation guide which is well written. The only drawback is that the attachments for the handlebar does not come with rubber and it can scratch the paint but that is not a big issue. The option of two installation modes was great as if there was only the option of mirror i would had returned it back.I took it for a test ride yesterday and the attachments are very sturdy. The phone did not shake and the ball bearing did not move from its place. The cable connection can be attached straight to the battery but i installed my on the ignition attachment so then it would be a problem if i leave it on.The only issue with the cable is that it does not come with a fuseoverall is great product for its price.

Powered,grippy but not perfect .
Itβs a pretty sturdy thing , a bit industrial in design that you have a plain U clamp, but a bit rubberised tape sorted that out . I donβt like that it connects to the battery and no provision on for a fuse , so you need to plan that in before fitting buy a fuse and solder that live wire , also if you do connect to the battery and not a switched live then you could leave the usb light on , would it drain the battery ? Probably not but if you left weeks on end maybe it could . Overall I would buy again but know that it needs a bit of work . Holds the phone steady no issues and once fitted itβs quite strong .
