Can't install software
I was given this puzzle/game by someone who had had it for a long time but never used it. When I tried to install it I got an error message that the file was damaged. My CD was scratched so I assumed that was the root of my problem. I (stupidly) came here and bought a new one so that I could have a virgin CD. Well, THAT file was damaged too. I tried it on both a Windows machine and on a Mac. Windows says file is damaged, Mac says the tech is too old to run on it (Jigazo is only 32 bit). Hasboro has scrubbed its existence off their website so no support there. Google searches show this to be a frequent issue with Jigazo. I'm disappointed I can't create puzzles with it and very annoyed that I bought a second for absolutely no reason. Completely useless without the application.

Great Grab Bag Gift
I bought several because these are so popular with everyone who receives them. It is priced right for the office Christmas exchange - and an "extra gift" for that, uhm...unexpected...gift. It is just fun. *** You do need to have a printer available.

Fun puzzle
These are a lot of fun to put together. The software is so-so and could use some improvement. Try purchasing a couple and splitting a photo. My wife and I took a photo of us, split the image in two (one side her, one side me) then made a puzzle for each. When they were done we put the puzzles together to make one large puzzle. Quite fun!

Changing my review
I originally gave this a bad review. That's because the computer images that were created from my photos were so blurry as to be unrecognizable. They were so bad that I didn't go ahead and work the puzzle. I now understand that the puzzle itself turns out less blurry than the computer image. I can't check that out because I returned mine. So I can't actually rate this toy: I'm changing my original one-star rating to a 3-star as a compromise.

Images aren't recognizable!
I saw this toy in an article about great new toys that were at a toy convention and thought it looked like a lot of fun. I got it, loaded the software, uploaded an image and printed out the map without a problem. Some of the puzzle pieces peeled apart when I was getting them ready for use. I also noticed that the image map prints in color, but I'm not wasting that much ink on a puzzle print out so I just printed ours in black and white. It would have helped to see the colors when putting it together, but each square printed completely in color...that's a lot of ink that would have been used. They should have just printed the outlines of the images in the color, not filled in the entire square.Putting together the puzzle was actually a lot of fun. The kids loved it! The problem? When the puzzle was all put together, we couldn't even tell what it was supposed to be! It was a picture of our dog that I'd thought would work great with this program. We were disappointed, but went ahead and tried it again with a different image because we'd had so much fun doing it the first time. We got the same result.I don't know what's going on, but I'm not going to try it again. I used clear images that had a lot of variations in shading so they should have worked fine, but even standing 20 ft. away didn't make them more recognizable. It was kinda funny because I'd offered a prize to the first kid who guessed what the picture was and they couldn't figure it out even after we were done.BOO. I'm returning it.

Fascinating
This puzzle's a lot of fun, and the kids enjoy seeing something that looks like a big ol' meaningless splotch turn out to be a pretty good picture of them once they step back a bit. The included software is fairly basic, but gets the job of turning your picture into a puzzle map donr easily. After that comes the patience-needed part of putting together the puzzle. At least, unlike a tradtional jigsaw, the software spits out a map telling you just what piece to use in just what orientation. Pretty cool.

Select your photo carefully, then have fun
This is an interesting puzzle. Make it a surprise; let someone "solve" the puzzle and determine whose picture it is. I took portraits of several family members, then selected a photo, looked at the expected image on the PC (the software does that for you) then let four kids under 10 solve the puzzle. They were entertained.

Great Puzzle Idea but Faulty Product
This puzzle is so unique and would’ve been wonderful; however, the install disc is corrupt. Therefore I can’t do any puzzles. I called Hasbro to see if they could replace the disc but it’s not replaceable.

Great idea... could be better.
The idea of this product is, take a portrait, let the software calculate the correct pattern and put together the puzzle according to the result. The pieces are of okay quality, could be a bit more sturdy and of thicker card board. The software was easy to use as well as the system to put together the correct picture. The big downer, it only has 300 pieces. That way you have a resolution a bit better than a windows desctop icon. For a better result I would guess around 1200 pieces would be necessary. But it does work. From a distance and with knowledge of what you are seeing you really can see the portrait you had on a picture before. Too bad it does not have the "resolution" needed for a good result through more pieces.

A puzzle for all ages, and not just for puzzle fans
These are amazing, so much so I've purchased three, one for all the puzzle fans in my life!Take a photo (portrait) and, with the included software, convert this into a coded grid from which to complete the puzzle. The result, a picture that looks remarkably like the photo. Once you've finished, break up the jigsaw break it up and repeat with a different picture, but a same puzzle pieces. Infinitely reusable and intuitive software on the enclosed CD that is eaasy to use and makes the whole process quick and easy.I included several predone grids with each of my gifts, each one a surprise so the recipients didn't know what they were making until they had made it.The pieces easily facilitate the building process as each contains a discrete image that makes building the puzzle a doddle. Perfect for adults and kids alike (even my five year old was enthusiastically helping with this). This one is a hidden gem, something to get as a present for that individual who has everything perhaps. You don't have to be a fan of jigsaws to like this one (I'm not and I love it).
