Actually sounds great?! Color me surprised
I’m an intermediate uke player, and how a ukulele sounds — its tone, projection, brightness, clarity, treble, sustain, etc. — is much more important to me than how it looks. My two main ukuleles are a Gretsch G9120-SM and a Córdoba 15 CFM, both strung with Worth Brown strings.I’m going to be flying across the country in a few months and have been trying out various travel ukes that I can take as my carry-on. These Flight ukes are some of the best I’ve found for the money. I bought both the light blue (mint color) and the mango to try at the same time, fully expecting the latter to sound superior. To my great surprise, the mango one sounds incredibly muddy, and the one I received also had a huge glue splotch on the upper right edge of the face. :(The light blue one… although it looks like a cheap toy, its sound quality is much better than that of the mango. The tone is loud, bright, and clear, and even a bit warm. I honestly was rooting for the mango, but I’ll be keeping the light blue because it truly does sound better.I’m VERY particular about how my ukes sound, and I hate the punchy, truncated tone Aquila strings produce. Unfortunately for me, virtually every ukulele comes pre-strung with them (including these Flight ukes). I restrung my new Flight with Worth Brown strings in low G, and honestly this uke truly does sound great. Hard to believe it’s plastic. Now that it’s combined with my favorite strings, I’m VERY satisfied with the tone! The only downsides are the gig bag and the rounded body.- The gig bag is super thin and really only a dust cover, definitely not protective enough to take on a plane. I’ll be buying a much nicer gig bag for my trip.- The rounded body makes the uke slip and turn upward as you’re playing it. It’s not a huge problem but more of a minor annoyance. I find myself having to readjust after every song.

Not good quality
The finger board which it says is wood is actually plastic, the sound compared to another ukulele I got for the same price is of lesser quality then it’s counterpart. The frets are also small which prevents chords from being made as easily especially bar chords.

Great Choice!
A great buy with beautiful style, sturdy construction, and really great sound. After a few days of playing and gently pressing and retuning the chords (which are good quality btw) my new uke is finally holding its tune. I bought this to play on my sailboat, but still wanted an instrument that looked and sounded great - highly recommend!

Amazing sound
I have a couple of the long neck soprano Flight travel ukuleles and they are very nice. This concert ukulele is just magical. The volume is excellent as well as the sustain.I also am very comfortable with the concert size.It is now my favorite ukulele. Also, as an aside, I am left handed and have flipped the strings. The intonation is excellent.

Excellent travel ukelele
Nice sound, tough construction. Not a fan of the supplied strings- I probably will change them to flourocarbon strings soon.Inexpensive, durable ukelele with good sound! Strap not included, it’s from Sherrin’s Threads

this will look nice hanging on the wall But sound is poor. Much cheaper then you would expect.

Love this ukulele once I changed the strings
It took me a while to fall in love with this ukulele. I ordered it because I needed something to take on an overseas trip in October and couldn't resist the pretty design. But the sugar strings were squeaking, and when I changed to nylgut the uke sounded dull. A week or so ago, I changed to fluorocarbon strings and finally understood why people like this ukulele so much.So if you buy this ukulele and don't like the sound, try a string change before giving up on it.

Sounds beautiful
Strings very tough on the fingers, maybe they just need warming up! The plastic back feels a bit weird but overall good instrument!
