This gorgeous, chunky junk journal was made using an upcycled, black, vintage book. I removed the pages, reinforced the spine and sewed in 3 new signatures. There are 185+ pages of patterned papers, textured card stock, cream colored card stock, small Manila envelopes, lined notebook papers, a brown envelope and 2 medium sized mailing envelopes. I have also included pages from a French botanical book, with beautiful illustrations. There is a floral theme through out. I have also added extra journaling papers and cards, paper tags, pockets, small envelopes and paper clips. The inside of both covers have pockets. The cover is decorated with a textured card stock with a powder blue pattern, and a beautifully bright and colorful floral pattern. There is a metal tag with the word 'breathe' along the spine, and the whole thing is secured with a long piece of twine that wraps around the junk journal. There is a skeleton style key hanging securely from the twine as well. Some of the pages are adorned with upcycled fabric bows, and a couple have tiny, decorative clothes pins with the words, 'vintage' and 'treasure'. The Manila envelopes are labeled 'smile', 'dream', and 'love'. There is also a length of crisp green lace on one of the pages, which is visible from the outside. Use this beautiful book to document travels, vacations, road trips. It would also make a wonderfully unique baby book or pregnancy journal. Include your baby's ultrasound photos, first words, milestones. Write about the joys or pregnancy and your hopes and dreams for the little one. There is plenty of room to journal, add photographs, memorabilia, etc. This junk journal would make a wonderful book for every day journaling, as well. Sketch on the heavy card stock, write poetry.
