Q: Can the pocket clip be removed from this pencil?.....looks like it in the pics. I want a great pencil with NO pocket clip!

It appears to me it can be removed, might take a little prying as it fits snug in a groove, however I wouldn't be able to say 100% unless I removed it, however I want it on. I think 98% I would say since it will swivel around and it has about a 2mm gap it can be removed. I hope that helps

No, the metal point does not retract.

Q: Does this come with any spare lead/erasers?

Unfortunately it doesn't come with additional erasers. Which sucks too because the eraser that it does come with is tiny. I'd recommend not using it as it's difficult to find replacements. However, the pencil is still awesome and should buy it nonetheless.

Q: Can't get new lead to feed. using pentel .5. cleared the chamber to be sure no jam. is there some tip or is the mechanism broken?

very often the (metal) tip has broken piece of the lead. Unscrew the metal part and clear opening with a new lead, if that not helps, remove the next plastic part (orange, or yellow - cannot remember) and shake out the broken pieces at this 'jammed' area. Hope it helps
