I bought this item less than a month ago and fitted it only two weeks ago I got up this morning to a completely shredded canopy as you can see in the attached picture.In my opinion the stitching is clearly not substantial enough.Maybe I got shipped a faulty item by mistake but given that it is less than a week to Xmas and the whole idea of purchasing it was for a family gathering I am extremely dissapointed.I have contacted the seller and am awaiting a reply I will update my review after they respond.Feeling disco dsntPaul

I went for the 4m equilateral triangle item to replace a 3m one from another supplier that wasn’t quite big enough for my garden. The material in this one doesn’t feel as heavy duty but does look to be up to the job, although I have only had it a week so far so can’t yet comment on durability.I fixed it using a fixing kit also from Amazon and install was straight forward.I would say to be sure of your fixing points before buying and if it doesn’t work first time, rotate the sail. It is meant to be 4m even sides but as you can see in my picture, it isn’t quite symmetrical and I found it fitted better when changing it around.Overall, recommend!

Bought the 5x5m sail to cover a patio area. The quality of the material is very good, the edges double folded and double stitched, with plenty of reinforcement towards the corners. Finished with some metal D loops for fixings. I would definitely recommend this make as you'll not be dispointed with it. I wanted good coverage of the area but please allow for some stretching of the fabric above the dimensions to get it tensioned correctly. I had 5.2m x 5.6m area to cover, I could tension fine on the 5.6m length but couldn't achieve enough tension on the 5.2m and just flapped in the breeze and I'm sure it would collect water if it was left in a shower even though I've an angle of about 30 deg between the high and low sides. I've now ordered a smaller size to ensure I get the right tension.

I am using this indoors across a sun-room. The product is very smart and looks good. It does the job nicely for a much better cost then blinds. The light color diffuses light nicely and takes away the glare from the glass reflection. Have used marine stainless steel fittings which make the sail and accessories very complimentary. Seams around the edges are well sown and neatly edged. An ring in each corner allows for anchor points and you get a length of chord type string as connections. As I mentioned I used different fittings, coming from a sailing background I know what I wanted to achieve as well as creating a quick real release sail for when taking it down at the end of summer. Have not used outdoors but I suspect you would need to fit at a fall to allow rain water to run off.

The shape is called a right angle triangle, but because the three sides are curved inwards it leaves very little material to make the shade to sit in. It's a bit like sitting under half a bikini bottom. Also the supplied nylon string is very slippery and likes to untie itself.It doesn't do the job intended so I think it's going back.

Looks lovely and semi-waterproof. I SHOULD MAKE IT CLEAR THAT IT MIGHT BE BETTER WATERPROOF IN OTHER CONDITIONS, but I have a recluse neighbour who wont cut any trees and this shade is on decking which gets inundated with pine cones, pine needles and water drip feeds constantly onto deck from any light rain as well as loads of bird pee and bird poo. I put this up so we could sit and have some sun without it being a wet and awful health hazard. This works fine but it is at an angle to ensure all liquid and tree debris runs down the back of it. Therefore because I have more than rainwater always on it I can't confirm full waterproofing under normal conditions, as it's always damp, and I am constantly using the karcher on it.

Not impressed, it had a fault in the fabric that would have turned into a rip quite quickly so it was returned.

Read lots about water resistant and waterproof. For the price difference we went for water resistant. Not disappointed at all with keeping showers off.The seam along one of the sides the isn’t amazing but it doesn’t really bother us as we have used it to cover a pergola.
