This is a beyond useful item at an amazing price point. It's signal is crystal clear. The casing and plugs are well built.You use this unit by plugging in direct and feed the DAW with the DI side for direct recording. You start your VST of choice and send it back to your amp with the reamping side. You mic that and feed that to the AI. You then capture direct source and amp pushing air live with one signal path.

This is a very well built rehamping direct box. It's not very big which makes it handy for traveling taking it with you.It's a very quiet system and it works with just about any basic system so if you're doing recording studio stuff and you're using your own gear you would use this reamping box to get the sound between your gear in the recording gear to kind of pair up the impedance basically through everything is on the same page in the sounds better.I think it's a decent value for what you're getting it works well and it's very solidly built and the sound is just what I expected it to be pretty good when I'm mixing it with recording studio equipment.

I wanted to try reamping with some of my midi and synth devices and for just under $100 this seemed like a lower cost entry level device.This allows me to experiment with different things after recodring and find sounds I might not be able to achieve otherwise.I can take my recorded midi signal, route it through my DAW with different pedals or amps, and back through to rerecord.I can play around with different pedals or soft synths and add a lot of different textures and depth.For the price I'm very happy with this and I think it brings a lot of value.

I ordered the JOYO Passive Reamping and Phantom Powered Active Direct Box for my office studio. I reamp often in my recording studio and I wanted to add the ability to do that in my office as well. I previously would take my reamp box from my studio to my office when needed and I wanted to have a dedicated reamp unit at each recording area, so I ordered the JOYO unit. I have been reamping for years and I was impressed with the value this unit provides. The signal is clean and well represented in fact I found this unit to compare well to units that cost 4 times more. I am very impressed with the build quality and options this unit provides. I have already used the JOYO Reamping box for 2 pedal reviews, and I am using it now for a clients next album. If you are looking for a reamp box that won't break the bank I suggest checking this one out.

Reamp box side of this rolls off the low end of the guitar signal. The device has the amplitude to drive an amp, but without the full signal the sound is missing the extra thump and saturation from the low end. Good if you have a boomy guitar signal and want to tame it during the reamping process, but I prefer to do tone shaping after recording, so this is not a desirable feature to me.

The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent active direct box and re-amping device. Most re-amping devices are more expensive, so I was impressed with how good this is. It's a solid metal box that has one input for re-amping, an input for direct box use, a thru jack for monitoring that can also double as a second input, and balanced XLR and 1/4 inch outputs. It also includes a ground lift, a lo-cut filter, a reverse phase button and a PAD for taming hot sources. There is also an output level dial. As a direct box, the- device is powered by 48V phantom power from your audio interface or mixing board. For re-amping, this power is not required. As a direct box this works very well. Active direct boxes can sometimes add noise, but this device is pretty quiet, although I noticed that if you turn the output level all the way up there is a slight hiss. For re-amping I got excellent results, with little noise and a full signal. The ground lift and phase buttons work well too. I should mention that the manual has helpful diagrams for setting up re-amping. At this price, I'm impressed with the workmanship.

Joyo has been putting out some great products and this one is no exception. All works as expected with no added noise. It also seems well built to stand up to the gigging life.
