YI 4K Action Camera Protective Lens + Leather Case White

I purchased this case for my new YI 4K Action Cam because I didn't want to scratch/ruin my action cam early in its life. This is a nice case from Yi and I really liked that it comes with a protective lens. I've taken pictures with and without this protective lens, and both were great! The case is a pretty snugged fit. I had to push my camera in a bit harder than I wanted to (but not too hard so my camera is still in perfect condition). I wish it had a small slot for a wrist string so that I could hang the camera off my wrist as an additional security (don't want to drop my phone). The one issue I have with my case, however, is that I am unable to charge my camera while it is in the case. There is an opening for the charger, but after pulling out the cover where the microUSB goes into the camera, I am unable to plug the cable into the camera due to the thickness of the cable/case. So every time I need to charge my camera, I need to take it out of the case which can be a bit of a hassle because I have to push it in and out of the case. I hope the case will stay in its good condition though! Below is a picture I took with the protective lens on.

Just what i have been waiting for. i had been loving my new Yi 4k since it finally arrived from my pre-order but i was kind of scared to scratch the screen or lens which means i have to make sure it doesn't tip over at all otherwise i would risk scratching either of the front or back. with this i dont have to worry, there is enough padding in the back that i dont have to worry about it laying on its back screen because it will be up off the ground, and the screen protector feel quality, nice aluminum with glass, nice and small. my only complaint is that the audio holes on the top had some charring from what looks to be laser cutting out the holes, i understand and expect this as i run a laser my self, but others might not be so forgiving to receive a new product with reminance of the charred leather and discoloration inside of it.

I agree with one of the other reviews I read for this item - it makes the charging cable a little hard to plug in. You have to kind of stretch the plug cover a little to get the cable in. Not a huge deal, really, but mildly annoying. The one other minor issue I have with it is the shape of the back rectangle. It isn't quite square with the case itself, so when the camera is in the case, it looks slightly crooked. It has made me question a few times whether the camera is level, or if it's just the case that's crooked. It's the case. I'll post a photo later if I remember.Besides those two minor things, it's a great little case. I feel better having the lens cover on, and a little padding on the camera. I don't always want the waterproof case, because the audio is then very muffled. That's why I bought this case, and it serves its purpose well - offers some lens and camera protection without covering the microphone holes.

Needed something to protect the YI 4K lens and figure getting the protective lens from YI itself would be great. Turns out its just ok.The leather case is decent, it's a full body cover which is great but makes changing batteries a bit of pain. You'll have to completely remove the case to get access to the battery. The build quality and material I wish was better considering its price and being from the brand itself.The UV lens is nice and well built, no issues with it so far. Though I wish it included a protective cap for the UV lens. I mean I got it to protect my YI 4K lens but would be nice it I can also keep the UV lens protected as well when stored away.

Bought it for my trip to Korea. The opening for the rear LCD was crooked (i.e., the opening did not line up perfectly with the screen with constant margins), so it was hard for me to judge whether the camera was level or not with the case on. This was only an issue when I was recording away from me and not doing a selfie. The case, otherwise, is fine but I would not buy it again.

This case was exactly what I was looking for! It is made pretty well, especially for the price. The filter is a nice touch as well. The Bezel of case actually aligns perfectly, but not to the screen offset, which is fine. A must have along with a screen protector.

This is a really good camera, all pictures and videos are in excellent quality. It is so much better that hero4 black!

After reading the reviews of others I was a little concerned but ordered the item anyway. So how has it worked out? Well, I'm pleased with the product.The case is snug but fits the camera perfectly. I eased the camera slowly into the case and checked that it could be removed without difficulty. Also I bought the white case and it looks good. I like the magnetic front flap. It's probably going to be best to charge the camera when it's not in the case as I think it will be difficult to open the USB C cover while in the case.The uv lens slides onto the lens enclosure very easily - some think it's too loose - it seems to tighten the last few millimetres. I held the camera with the lens pointing downwards and the filter didn't fall off. To be completely fair I'm not going to sky dive so I can't predict whether the filter would fall off in those circumstances but it seems tight enough for my purposes. For the time being I'm going to store the uv filter in a small resealable plastic bag but I have ordered a very small draw tie jewelry bag for a very small cost to use in future. I don't want to scratch the glass.So I'm pleased, it's a quality yi product and it's fit for my purposes.

A perfect fit on the camera for both the housing and the lens cover. I use this on a racing mini quad and didn't want the weight of a full waterproof housing, but also couldn't bear to leave it unprotected!This was perfect, light weight, well made, and a really good fit. When paired with a tempered glass screen protector the camera feels really safe from most things except moisture and 400 foot falls from a broken mini quad... but hey, can't have everything!

Non posso che constatare come il prodotto non sia assolutamente all'altezza del marchio che porta. Sono infatti un entusiasta possessore di ben due Yi Cam, una Delle quali, la 4k+ adatta a questa custodia. Dopo un paio di giorni di utilizzo ecco il mio turpil...verdetto.PREGI (Custodia):- Custodia molto aderente, esteticamente piacevole, avvolge bene la telecamera. Ottima la chiusura magnetica.PREGI (Lente)- ottimi materiali costruttivi- Protezione UVEbbene sì...questo é l'unico pregio.Dopo questa fantastica notizia, veniamo alla parte interessante.DIFETTI(Custodia):1) Aperture inutili: le aperture praticate nella custodia dovrebbero avere la funzione di permettere l'accesso all'ingresso USB-C, cosa che non risulta possibile in quanto l'apertura nella custodia risulta troppo piccola per permettere l'apertura dello scomparto per la connessione, a meno che voi non siate il mago Houdini, ovviamente. Inoltre la copertura del tasto di registrazione causa spesso lo spegnimento involontario della camera in quanto la cover risulta essere molto stretta, rendendo il tasto estremamente sensibile con conseguente sequela di improperi dal momento che se la telecamera l'avete accesa e tirata fuori, un motivo ci sarà anche stato.Ma se la custodia tutto sommato non é male, é sulla lente che le cose prendono una brutta, bruttissima piega.DIFETTI (Lente):Non mi é ancora chiaro se la progettazione sia stata fatta da un primate o da un essere umano, in quanto gli errori di progettazione sono a dir poco notevoli.1) Attacco magnetico: la lente si connette alla camera tramite un semplice connettore magnetico. Tuttavia l'attrazione magnetica é così debole che basta inclinare la telecamera e agitarla verso il basso per farla cadere. Questo risultata ESTREMAMENTE FASTIDIOSO poiché ne provoca sistematicamente la caduta anche solo quando la si estrae da una qualsiasi custodia/tasca. In pratica sappiate che la "protezione" si toglierà praticamente sempre quando estrarrete la telecamera, quando riceverà forti scossoni, quando toccherete l'obiettivo, quando starete attenti a non toccarlo e anche quando lo terrei fermo... provocando dopo molte cadute l'interessamento della Madonna e di tutta la baracca celeste. Se poi, disgraziatamente doveste trovarvi in spiaggia o sulla neve, allora si andrà ad aggiungere anche il punto 2.2) La pulizia: la parte esterna non presenta alcun problema a meno che voi non siate sprovvisti del pollice opponibile. Tuttavia, per quanto riguarda la parte interna della lente si innescano altre pericolose dinamiche: già perché a quanto pare se per puro CASO la lente dovesse staccarsi e il lato interno dovesse riempirsi di sabbia/acqua/fango/neve/polvere, ecco che inizierà la sagra dell'invettiva (con tanto di mercatini e ubriacone barbuto di turno) per tentare di rimuoverla. Cosa estremamente difficile in tempi brevi dato lo strettissimo spazio che intercorre tra la lente e l'interno della protezione (soprattutto sui bordi). Se poi decideste di non pulirla sui bordi ecco che incapperete nel punto 3.3) Qualità dei materiali: il corpo in alluminio lasciava ben sperare, ma quando ho tentato di pulire il vetro (con panno in microfibra per occhiali) causa ditata involontaria, ecco che ho scoperto l'arcano: tanto valeva che lo facessero direttamente opaco. Il materiale é talmente brigoso da pulire (rimangono costantemente aloni e polvere) che probabilmente manderebbe in bestia anche il più paziente dei monaci buddisti. E non importa che stiate attenti. Prima o poi le impronte arriveranno così come i graffi (parliamo di micrograffi). Infatti se PER CASO vi dovesse cadere, bè sappiate che neanche mago Merlino vi toglierà quel capolavoro di impressionismo che si sarà disegnato sulla superficie.CONCLUSIONE:A meno che non vogliate incorrere nella scomunica o che non vogliate mettere la telecamera in un museo o non vogliate togliere di mezzo la vostra vecchia vicina cattolica, non comprate questo obbrobrio. Tanto poi la lente vi cadrà a terra e inizierete a innalzare Lodi al signore al ritmo di un presentatore pubblicitario.NON consigliato.
