Way nicer than expected
This still is way nicer than I expected. The wood is solid, it looks beautiful, and is better than I expected for the price.

Needs assembly
Nice piece but it was NOT easy to put together. Needs a longer Allen wrench. The screws are hard to turn and not well aligned to the holes.

Wood, Looks nice in the kitchen
Nice looking and sturdy. Performs well as a step stool and the chair option is fantastic. Not unsightly in the kitchen as an aluminum stepladder would be.

A Pretty Step Stool
This product was a challenge to put together but I took my time. I am close to the weight limit so I do use a little more caution. It serves the purpose for this short woman and is pretty to look at.

Sturdy
Thought I could use both as step stool and Xtra chair at Island but is bar height not counter height, still a great product

Nice piece but hard/confusing to assemble, may have minor defects
The assembly instructions leave a little to the imagination: here are my tips. There are two different styles of part D: two with rounded front edges and two without. The rounded edges go to the front of the step and the straight edges go toward the back (this is easiest to figure out by assembling the lower step first). Part G should have the rubber facing up so that when the legs are folded in they rest on the rubberized part of G. A few of my holes for the screws (M) were machined too deep, so I split the top of one of the steps. Make sure the receiving holes are aligned; if not, you may need to make new guides as I did. It's a handsome piece but I wish it were perfect! I've contacted the seller to request replacement pieces for the ones that were poorly constructed. We'll see how quickly they respond.

Good step stool for the money and easy to assemble.
Step stool looks nice and was easy to put together. The one thing I don't really like is the design of the seat especially if you use it as a step of the stool. It is not braced between the two pieces of board that make up the seat and therefore not that sturdy. This is why I didnt give it 5 stars. We will add some braces for that and it should be fine. Other than that, good little step stool for the money and easy to put together.
