A terrific tablet. Especially for the money!
Actually, in the new, but used tablet category, the Tab-3 is quite the bargain. I was looking for a 4G version to fabricate a "Car Computer." Something with my tunes, and Waze, and Pandora, and act as an in-car Internet Hot Spot. You know, bling it up. :-)In addition to those, I've added a Bluetooth OBD-2 port and run Torque and Dash to monitor the car, plus I've got the Cobra iRadar detector with its Bluetooth providing real-time alerts and radar warnings. I'm in Car-Guy-Geek-Topia. (Nerdvana?)You can probably tell; I've been as happy as a clam with this tablet. It's responsive, the form-factor is perfect for in-dash mounting, it does everything I want it to. It can get a little washed-out in bright sunlight. It can, with everything running at the same time, take forever to charge. But if I were starting this project over, I'd probably, pound-for-pound, dollar-for-dollar, start with the Galaxy Tab 3.PS: A *POX* on a magenta-colored carrier who will remain nameless for giving me a boatload of grief and refusing to unlock this (T-Mobile-branded) tablet. They should be ashamed for not standing behind a product that has their name on it. But, hey, not the tablet's fault.

It says AT&T.But it's truly an unlocked GSM tablet, pop in yor gsm carrier sim card,an yor good to go.
I just got my samsung galaxy tab 3 in the mail,I would've given 5stars,but it's not a phone, and even though it is a AT&T device. It's unlocked for any gsm carrier an will work with T-mobile,I'm proof of it (-; .it took some time to find the rite free calling app that'll work off even a data plan not just wifi,it's called a talkatone,it's in google play store,so for the cheap low price of a data only plan for tablets only,u can turn this tab 3 into a phone.it's like having two phones. I mean it's working well works with my T-mobile service provider, all i had to do was pop my sim card in,an my 16 GB micro sd card,as long as you're on a gsm network.it should work fine,i was skeptical at first,an pissed off,coz it wasn't what i wanted, but it works,an works good.

2 Years in and STILL Love it!
I bought this tablet to take with me on extended hiking trips to use as a phone, camera, gps, kindle, trail guide, and social media connection.Almost 2 years later, we have logged over 500 miles of outdoor time in places as far apart as the Sierras of CA and the Green Mtns of VT. I have actually burned through 3 cases in the time I've had it!Here's the especially good:-Screen is bigger than a phone so my old man eyes can see it-Almost never have not had service through ATT-Google Hangouts and Freedom POP have phone apps that work well.-Camera could be better resolution, but it interfaces effortlessly with social media, email, etc. Video is decent too.-Speakers could be better located for watching video, but I usually use headphones for that anyway.-Battery life is really good - 10+ hours constant use per charge cell data-ATT plan is $25/month for more data than I use.-Simply scads of apps available through google play - most free. The Less Good:VERY occasionally freezes. Reboot fixes it.When taking it off of airplane mode after it has been on for awhile, it takes awhile to catch up with itself.Do I recommend? Hell yes.

so glad to went back to android
the ipad was great just not my style, i love the freedom of android and this tablet gives it to me, on 4g Lte ATT it's fast no doubt. smaller than ipad and easier to carry and used everyday~ lightweight and fantastic Samsung menu and quality, books are downloaded within seconds from kindle app. bit of the normal bloatware on it but i either uninstalled or stopped from loading if i don't use it. thanks again Amazon and Samsung!!

No good
The device keeps logging me off of my home wifi & my mobile hot spot. It does it while I'm playing my NbA & NFL apps

Great tablet but cannot update or download certain apps
The reason why I'm giving this item 3 starts is because I cannot update the software and there is certain apps I cannot download in my play store. I might be because it's refurbished, I'm not too sure. Besides that very good tablet.

Perfectly Portable!
This tablet is perfect for me. It's small, portable, and functional. I can do 95% of things that I can do on a computer, but the tablet is 1/3 the size. I can create and edit documents, PowerPoint presentations, and spreadsheets. I can take pictures, read & send emails, stream music, and store & rename files. I can even record audio! This device seems like the best of both the computer and phone worlds.
