Very Sturdy and Well Made
This is very sturdy and high quality dog ramp. It would use a rail, but otherwise well made.

Excellent ramp! But buyer beware…
First of all, this ramp is excellent quality! The problem is the product/condition that Amazon sent this ramp to me. The ramp was sent from Amazon’s warehouse and arrived in a large, unmarked, flimsy cardboard box that was beat to hell (and way bigger than it needed to be, and the pieces were thrown together in there with no protection whatsoever. So of course, it was damaged and broken. There were no assembly instructions in the box and the screws were thrown in a knock off ziplock bag with no tools.I bought this ramp NEW mind you. Paid full price for it, and yet it was pretty obvious they had sent me a damaged return that had most definitely been used before being ripped apart and sent back.I am still giving this item 5 stars because I do believe this is a fault on Amazon’s part, seeing as the order is fulfilled through an Amazon warehouse and not through the actual company, who was wonderful.I logged in to speak to customer service after receiving the damaged ramp, but Amazon only had an option to talk directly to the seller’s company, so I was sent to the sellers website instead. (Turned out to be a blessing! Amazon customer service has gone downhill)I chatted with a customer service agent at PetSafe, who was very friendly, and he sent me out a replacement right away. I got a shipping email from fedex the next day and my replacement was delivered in a few days (order placed Friday, got it Monday! It was Easter weekend, so surprisingly fast)The replacement confirmed to me that Amazon had in fact sent me a returned item instead of a new one because the new one arrived in a branded box, all the pieces were shrink wrapped and protected, there were instructions, and a sealed bag with screws, washers, and little tools were included.Once I got the replacement, it was easy to put together! All the pieces were included and the ramp in very sturdy. It looks very nice, so it doesn’t feel out of place in my home.I have 2 small dogs (15 pounds and 12 pounds) and they both took to the ramp pretty quickly and seem to like it. They don’t slip at all going up or down and can get on and off the bed with no trouble now.In the end I’m incredibly happy with my purchase and would recommend this bed ramp to anyone with pets!If I’m in the the market for another ramp or something similar I will definitely purchase from PetSafe again (though I will be going through them directly instead of taking the gamble with Amazon)TL;DR : The ramp is excellent, but maybe buy it from the actual company (PetSafe) instead of Amazon. Then you’ll be sure you are getting what you paid for.Photo 1: Some of the damaged pieces I received from Amazon and the weird baggie of screws I got.Photo 2: This is the box my replacement came in (from the company) so if you do order from Amazon make sure it comes in the actual product box so you know it’s new.Photo 3: The packaging, little tools, and pamphlets that came with my replacement from the company and were NOT included in the beat up package I got from Amazon.

Great big dog ramp
Exceedingly sturdy and about the length of the width of a queen bed. Did need to use an l-bracjet to attach to the the bed due to the top being a little bit swayable. Mostly for my comfort then anything else.

Can fit a Casper frame
Takes about an hour to assemble with the included tools, not foldable, surprisingly nice looking hardware. I walked my 160lb corpus up and down and stood on the middle, where the two long sections join, but I didn't want to stand there, It held up OK. The carpeted sections were softer than I expected and the ramp was tall enough to reach an old-fashioned brass bed. The only problem is that I have an old Yorkie, so her question is: "Why don't you pick me up?"

Sturdy, Good Quality, Not THAT Much Work to Assemble
We'd tried all the plastic steps, to no avail. Especially when placing them on carpet, they don't feel steady and the dogs didn't trust them--rightfully so. So I searched for "high" and "pet ramp" and was glad to find this. I was very skeptical, and yes, it is steady whether placed on carpet or hard floors. So, our 11 year old beagles get up in the middle of the night like lots of us older folks do. They have no problem getting off the bed and running outside, but they can't get back up because they are older and the bed is higher than most. So this product was a huge help. I have one beagle that is 29 pounds, and one that is 39 pounds; very different in size (female and male). First, they don't find the carpeted surface to be slippery; they don't run up the ramp so there is no reason to slip. They walk normally, and have no trouble with it (I read slippery carpet is a problem for some; just not with us). So before spending time and mondy on modifications, see how it meets your needs. The "landing" at the top of the ramp may be helpful for very disabled dogs or very small dogs, so it's good to have, and is the perfect height for our high bed. However, my 11 year old dogs don't need/use it, at least not yet. The smaller dog goes 3/4 of the way up and is comfortable with a very short hop to the bed off the ramp (and it doesn't wobble--they trust it). The larger dog goes 2/3 of the way up, and hops up as well. As they get older, I expect they take more advantage of the full length, and maybe the landing; but not now. We have it at the foot of a king size bed, and the slope is perfect, with a length nicely long enough to allow a gradual slope that doesn't intimidate our dogs. Once I place them at the base and tell them to get on the bed, they get it, are not afraid of it, and walk right up--again, very sturdy. It's only been two nights but I fully know in the next two days will be natural and I won't need point out the obvious. Old dogs do learn new tricks!. Caution: My dogs, getting down, try to jump over it for now, or they stand and stare. So showing them how to step off of it (put their front two paws on the ramp and they take it from there) is as important as them learning to to get onto the bed. Still, this once again will be self evident as the dogs used to it and as they get older. Assembly: The box was very well packed, and all the tools you need (hex wrench and small end wrench) are included--so you don't need a thing. I didn't note any particle board parts--real wood with proper bolts/sleeves so you won't have to worry about this getting rickety over time. Tip: tape the tools to the bottom of it so if you have to tighten something or disassemble, they'll always be there. Not everyone has a hex wrench at hand. The hardest part was unwrapping plastic wrap off all of the pieces. This product is highly recommended. Yup, cost a bit, but seems worth it so far!
