It's replacing a 32-year old carry-on in great shape, but I need a larger size now.
One day in 1986 when as a younger man I was traveling quite a bit, I sat down in the terminal at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and took an informal 'census' of what brand luggage the flight crews were using. It was virtually 100% Travelpro. So I went to Bergman Luggage and bought a 22" Travelpro carry-on. It had odd panels, rolled pads, and stretchy belts but I soon learned I could travel cross-county with a suit and starched long-sleeve shirts that arrived with barely a wrinkle. Now, 32 years later that well-traveled carry-on is still in great shape and being passed on to my son Square Man. I chose the 25" expandable spinner but I'm retired and now travel for leisure rather than business, I'm not in a hurry, in my old age I carry more stuff (like a CPAP machine), and the four-wheeled spinners move so effortlessly. I examined numerous competitors but ultimately chose another Travelpro. The lifetime guarantee is comforting even though in 32 years I had zero issues with it's predecessor.Last month I sat down, again at Sea-Tac and took another informal flight crew census. Travelpro may still be king (maybe) but they represented somewhere between 25-30% of the crew luggage. If I was the CEO of Travelpro I would demote whoever was responsible for the loss of what was a monopoly.

Awesome luggage! Love it!
I did a lot of traveling the past 6 months. I purchased this and also a small Crew 11 series carryon. They’ve been on probably 20 flights with me on the last 6 months and still look brand new - even with this checked bag! This bag is super spacious and great quality. Pockets in all the right places. On hard and even uneven surfaces this thing pushes around like a dream! It’s even made it over some cracks and such I expected to trip it up but didn’t. This thinks glides with EASE and is a joy to use!One weak point for this bag is plush carpet. It doesn’t to well on 4 wheels in that instance but still works okay. I do usually run it as a pull-behind on two wheels for carpet, but am otherwise totally thrilled with this bag.I agonized for a while over Briggs & Riley, Tumi and TravelPro because I prefer to spend a little more for quality. Because I just couldn’t justify the cost for Briggs & Riley and Tumi, I have TravelPro a try at a SIGNIFICANT savings, and can honestly say, I’m glad I did!!

Quality control and warranty issues.
Great price for this Crew 11 bag. We searched everywhere and no one comes close to the Amazon price for this 25" Spinner (Nylon). All material and components feel sturdy and of good quality as you'd expect from Travelpro. Layout is well thought through and flexible. I'm sure the airline baggage handlers will have hours of fun trying to destroy it :)UPDATE: After just 2 uses, we started to have issues with this case. First, we noticed the bag refused to roll in a straight line (preferring to spin anticlockwise) and second, when filled, the outer material rucked badly which made the case look cheap and weak. Not what you'd expect from a TravelPro. We was so concerned, we called TravelPro to check if the bag was genuine and not a cheap rip off. They checked the serial number and confirmed it was genuine. We were actually quite shocked but not as shocked as when they told us the wheels were NOT covered under warranty and that we needed to take the bag to the nearest service centre (50 mile round trip) for repair at our own cost. That was disappointing. After further discussion, TP agreed to send us replacement wheels if we paid shipping and fitted them ourselves. We did that, following the instructions carefully. It was an easy DIY job. Once fitted, tried rolling the care and lo and behold it pulled to the left, refusing to roll in the straight line. Arggh. On further inspection, it became clear that two of the self-aligning wheels were in the wrong corners. We swapped them over and hey presto, the case rolled straight. So, it turns out the issue with the wheels was nothing to do with damage by an airline and all to do with poor quality control at TRavelPro - and incorrect fitting instructions provided with the replacement wheels.Overall, we're disappointed with the look and amount of hassle we've had with this case. Poor warranty and poor customer service also let TP down.

Well built, poor warranty support
I will say the bag is well built, I spend 100+ nights/year on the road, and this bag has held up very well. It made it exactly one year before my first issue- a broken wheel. Keep in mind I switched to this brand due to their highly touted warranty, however on my first attempt to utilize it I found it rather worthless. I received conflicting info from two reps regarding whether wheels were covered although the website indicates they are. Also there is some catch regarding having to "register" your bag within 120 days of purchase to get an extended warranty. The end result was that in order to determine whether the issue was covered under warranty (single screw that fastens wheel to bracket sheared off) I would have to visit a warranty center (at least an hour drive each way in my case). Rather than deal with that annoyance I just purchased a wheel directly for 15.99 US plus shipping. Overall I do not regret the purchase, but I would urge any prospective purchasers to not put much faith in their warranty.

Perfect checked luggage
I love this suitcase. It is the perfect size for just about anything. It’s not so huge that it’s awkward to take on business trips, but it’s big enough to use for a week long vacation. You can make it slightly bigger by unzipping the top pouch so that it pushes out even further. In general it just makes very good use of space. The suitcase itself is sturdy but it’s very light so it won’t contribute much to your weight when you fly with this. It looks very nice. I’ve only owned it for a few months now, but I’ve flown with it several times and used it as my checked bag each time and it’s still good as new. If anything happens to change my review in regards to how this holds up over time, I’ll update my review.
