I replaced the OEM 4gb of RAM with the 8gb Crucial Ballistix Sport SODIMM 8gb chip in my Lenovo 11e notebook computer. Installation was easy, as expected, and upon start up the Lenovo immediately recognized the new RAM.I've noticed no discernible performance difference. A few times I had noticed that I was nearing the limit of the OEM RAM and, as a precaution, I decided to double the install RAM using the Crucial Ballistix. Unused RAM is RAM wasted, but I wanted to make certain that I would not unintentionally and unknowingly run the machine out of memory.As a matter of course I do not recommend that folks replace RAM just for something to do with their money - for opening Office documents and a browser page or two 4gb is normally quite sufficient.However if you prefer to have several Chrome browser tabs open along with an Excel sheet, a Word doc or three, and Microsoft Outlook while simultaneously watching a streaming video then 4gb might really not be enough and an increase might be in order.YMMV - but on a small notebook like the Lenovo 11e I rarely keep more than 2-3 applications open simultaneously and thus the increase in RAM isn't immediately apparent. Purchased a year ago, to get a toshiba c55d-a5108 up to spwc since it shipped qith one 4GB dimm and an apu that requires dual channel. im pleased to say, that i paid twice what it is today on.amazon, and it was still a good buy. been running at stock clocks, and multitasking hard at low temps with low power consumption. on par or better than the Kingston modules included with the alienware steambox. even now, thia ram has enabled this notebook to plays gamea over the last year, even fallout 4! thats right FO4 on an a6-5600 with this ram ONLY. albeit, this is at 720p with low settings to maintain 30fps. with the specs of thw laptop and the gpu built into the cpu, this dual channel kit has made all thw difference between an email brick, and playing payday 2, the new simcity, guild wars 2 and fallout 4. and it has donw evwrythong drom media streaming to homework in between, amd though win10 was buggy at first, it was never the fault of these dimms. If these fit your application, go ahead and buy them, you wont be disappointed!

I purchased these for my Macbook Pro Late 2011 17" 2.5GHz Quad Core i7 in 2014. Looks like they are harder to come by these days (possibly even discontinued by Micron/Crucial as the 8GB sticks are no longer shown on their website). I am extremely pleased with the performance of this kit. I did quite extensive research on memory brands and performance before I purchased these. The performance of this memory has been absolutely flawless over the past two years and this is also my work computer, so it is used 8-10 hours/day easily. Furthermore, I'm running a VM with Windows 7 and using OSX simultaneously and even my company's IT guy was impressed about the performance when updating/installing the company programs! Bottom line - this is some of the best (if not the best) memory available, and best of all - Made in USA. I would without doubt make Ballistix my next purchase, as newer computers take different variants of memory; unless for some reason they start manufacturing this in China, in which case I would find another top-tier US-made alternative.

This memory is blazing fast! I bought 2 of these sticks and have them running in my MacBook Pro (mid 2012) model. The memory made my Mac so fast, now I have 16gb. I noticed another reviewer warned MacBook Pro users from using this kind of memory because they said it was too fast. I was concerned about this so I checked apples website and the type of memory they recommended was the same clocking numbers as this one. I'm happy I bought this. Also Apple says the MacBook Pro (mid 2012) model has a maximum supported memory of 8 gigs but I looked into it and apple tests and recommends what kind of hardware is available at the time. So in 2012 8gb is what apple tested and recommend but 16gb is now readily available. I'm running 16gb and zero problems, do yourself a favor and pick up a couple of sticks. I will update my review if any issues develop. I hope you found my review helpful.

I had received a laptop via a local college: Asus X55C-DH31 15.6-Inch Laptop (OLD VERSION); ASIN: B009MWV1RI.Unbeknownst to me, this particle model had a known defective Toshiba HDD. The warranty had just expired. So I'd turned to Crucial to get the specific HDD I needed, and while I was at it, I wanted to add more RAM.I wanted a RAM for reliability and cost, and Crucial came through again. I got the 4GG RAM and Crucial BX100 250GB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive - CT250BX100SSD1; ASIN: B00RQA6TEII reloaded Windows 8.1 Pro, and now the computer turns on in less than 10 seconds. There's no bloatware from ASUS, and this laptop no longer heats up or make a sound.If I need more memory or a new hard drive or steady state drive, I will continue to turn to Crucial and Amazon to provide the trusted product for me.

These have certainly done well for me for 2 years now. I've done an extensive amount of gaming, watched a lot of resource intensive videos, and have had multiple applications open for long periods of time. And through all of that, they have never given any BSOD or just suddenly made the computer shutdown. I am using these in a Lenovo Y470.The temperature of my computer stayed the same and i'm quite happy as I thought these may potentially raise the temperature. I know many people are of the thought that RAM is just RAM and get whatever brand provides the cheapest cost, but i'm sorry that is far from the truth. There's a reason that Crucial is highly rated and in particular, these set of memory sticks.When I purchase a new computer, I will know what I can rely upon.

I bought this to replace my fiancee's older laptop memory. It boosted the speed of that laptop over 3 times.Quite happy with this one, would recommend if you're looking for laptop memory that's cheap.
