fantastic book

too one-sided
This book seems to limit the idea of intellectual giftedness to mental/social disabilities and illnesses combined with intellectual ability as the conclusive view on these teens' interaction with the outside world. While desperately trying to eliminate popular myths about giftedness, it appears to only exchange them for new myths in support of the "diagnosis culture" so currently popular in the US.

Good for gifted kids
My gifted teen daughter found a lot to like in this book. When kids are gifted it can be so hard for them to understand why it's difficult to connect with other kids their age at times. This book really gave her a lot of encouragement and understanding about her giftedness and how that relates to the world around her.
