Fantastic Mask
I use this mask for HEMA sparing. It is more than capable of withstanding and protecting against blows from synthetic and metal weapons far heavier than a sport fencing sabre. I have been struck directly with the point of a infantry sabre, the strength and excellent fit of this mask ensure that I was barely able to feel the blow, the mask was unmarked and stayed in place on my face and head. Could not ask for better.

The Leonard sabre mask is well made, solid, and just what I need for sparring with rattan sticks and training swords. It is a comfortable fit and well padded. My mask was delivered well within the specified period.

It is nice. THIS A DETACHABLE MASK WHICH IS A GREAT IDEA. YOU SWEAT WHILING FENCING AND PAY A FEW MORE $$ N GET A DETACHABLE MASK! I AM SO GLAD THAT SOMEONE POINTED OUT TO ME.IT DOES RUN SMALL. MY HEAD SIZE IS 24.25" BUT SNUG. I THINK THE REASON IS THE DETACHABLE LINING TAKES UP THE ROOM. THE DESCRIPTINON N MEASUREMENT CHART DID NOT CONSIDERED THE BULKY DETACHABLE PIECE. I WISH I KEPT THE "L". I TRIED ON CONTPLATING WHICH ONE TO KEEP AND KEPT THE "M" BUT I WISH I KEPT THE LARGE.FYI: THE METAL PIECE IN THE BACK OF THE MASK SHOULD BE BENT. ONE SHOWED WITH STRAIGHT OUT AND THE OTHER BENT. BENT IS CORRECT N YOU CAN PUSH IT IN SO IT STAYS ON YOUR HEAD.

Can be used for full contact stick fighting
Great fencing mask! I actually use it for stick fighting and it holds up to hard hits and at a more friendly price. Having the removable lining is great for hygiene. I've recommended this item to my friends for our live stick sparring sessions.

Sturdy, comfy, looks good!
Will update later as wear and tear happens.Sturdy mask. The metal is shiny and looks great. Really sturdy too. Only had it for a week so far so I don't know how sturdy just yet, but after the first trial run of using it I love it. I feel very protected and it takes blows very well. Wish it cam in different colors but with the removal inside it should be too much of a hassle to paint. I like that I can remove the interior for cleaning later.
