Q: Is the size of this waterproof picnic blanket suitable for a family of four to have a picnic?

Yes. I would say it xan feel tight with 4 adults size ppl vs. 2 adults abs 2 kids. It's not my favorite material on the sand or sandy-like areas, but the bottom does keep from having stains, but once washed a couple of times, it started to fall apart (become loose). I'm huge in keeping things as brand new as possible and it was disappointing that it looked so worn, functions fine, just not the prettiest when you see flapping foil.

Q: How is the waterproof of this picnic blanket? Will it penetrate?

Our picnic blankets are waterproof, and the bottom of the mats is made of aluminum foil that will not penetrate. At the same time, our top fleece is very easy to dry. You only need to wipe it with a paper towel and it will dry in a few minutes.

Q: Can this picnic blanket be used indoors?

It is very stiff and only useable to sit or stand on.
