Great book!
I had a tough time deciding how to review this book. I love the idea of a wolf connecting all 3 of the stories, however, I unfortunately did not love all 3 of the stories.Individual Rating for Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer would be a 2. The story is about a younger woman that escapes a bad situation. (I don't like spoilers so I won't get deep into the details of the situation.) She finds herself meeting a man named Butch that has bad memories from war in Iraq. I didn't exactly hate the story, however, I found that it seems pretty juvenile to me. Esther is very immature and doesn't really make the best choices in my opinion. Butch needs to work a bit on how to communicate with her, although I do understand his worry about frightening her. I felt as if a lot of the story had internal dialogue that wasn't necessary because it kept repeating itself. The story was just 'eh' in my opinion. I feel it had a lot of potential and it really didn't live up to what could have been a great story. I've never read a story by this author so I can't compare it to her other work & I'm not sure that I will read another story by her, I just didn't like it.Individual Rating for The Wolf on Her Doorstep by Kate Pearce would be a 3. This story was better than the first one. It's about a woman, Beth, that has 2 teenage boys (one is her biological son and the other is her son's half brother that she adopted). There is definitely a lot of triggers in this story with physical abuse from the boys biological dad that is in jail. I enjoyed the relationship that was built between Beth & a man named Conner. There was just a lot of growth & how to deal with past hurts and how the Mom, siblings, and her new boyfriend just dealt with life and moving along from past pain. It was interesting but didn't suck me in to the story and make me have to know what was going to happen next. I've never read a story by this author either. I might consider reading another story because this story wasn't horrible & I can see where the story could possibly go.Individual Rating for Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti would be a 5+. I absolutely LOVED this story! Trent is a hot alpha male cowboy that knows what he wants and how to get things accomplished. I love his relationship with his 'brothers' and just everyone around him. The electricity between Trent and Hallie starts immediately and reading about their interactions was phenomenal. The connections that were made with all of the characters had me reading through the night when I should have put the book down and gotten some sleep!! I also absolutely LOVE the wolf 'Harley' in this story. This story was well written, draws you into what is going to happen, makes you WISH you had your very own Trent or even a wolf named Harley, and left me dying for more. I'm hoping we get to enjoy more books set in this amazing world that Rebecca created. I have read previous books written by Rebecca Zanetti and I admit, she has done it again, and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to learn more about these cowboys and their lives. If I'm remembering correctly there are 12 cowboys on the team and I would gladly buy 12 books without hesitation if they are written as phenomenally as this book was written!! Bravo again to Rebecca Zanetti for creating characters that pull at your heartstrings and make you want more!!If I could rate this anthology based just on the 3rd story of the anthology by Rebecca Zanetti I would give it a 5, however, I feel I do need to take into consideration the other 2 stories. I am rating the anthology an overall 4 ONLY because of how amazing Rescue: Cowboy Style is.

Four Rescue Cowboy Style Stars! Trent's story was fantastic and I want more!
Rescue Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti*****Rating: 4 starsSteam: 1 flame (clean)Genre: Romantic Suspense*****The entire reason I wanted this book was to read Rebecca Zanetti’s story. Rebecca Zanetti is one of my all time favorite authors and there really isn’t anything (IMO) that she can’t write and once again she proves to me why she is one of my few one-click authors. I am not a fan of clean romance, at all and I am generally not a fan of short stories because it’s hard to pack a punch in a few chapters. Well, Ms. Zanetti just showed me I could enjoy a short clean romance. So much so I am hoping this will develop into a series because the characters were so interesting I want more! I want all their stories (but maybe with some steam next time). Trent and his team of wounded warriors were a fantastic group of guys! And Hallie was intelligent and a perfect match for Trent. Yes it’s on the insta side, but it’s a short story. I expect a little insta. I still enjoyed the story and fell for all the characters. I hope that Zeke get’s his story with Dr. Mills, and I would love to have Ford’s story! The Wolf on Her Doorstep by Kate Pearce*****Rating: 3 starsSteam: 1 flame (clean / fade to black)Genre: Sweet clean insta love / damsel in distress*****Although I know this is a short story, I was on board all the way up until the ending. I felt the ending was just a little too rushed for me. It was a insta love, insta understanding, and insta changes, this is a hard sell for me. I did like the fact that the FMC was a strong, single mother that put our hero in his place when needed. My only wish is that there had been one more chapter to just tie the two MC’s together a little more succinctly. I like Kate Pearce, and this was a good short storyColorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer - This story and author was not for me.

Lone Wolf anthology
Lone Wolf anthology by Diana Palmer, Kate Pearce and Rebecca ZanettiContemporary romantic suspense. Each story has a wolf as a pet and former soldiers as the hero. Heat level tame. HEA guaranteed.Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca ZanettiHallie is on the run, being implicated in a crime she uncovered but didn’t commit. Trent and his brothers are just the ones to help her. Especially since Trent has decided to make Hallie his permanently.Riveting and intense, the former military brothers are ranchers and men of justice. They will protect and make it right. Sigh. Maybe a little less bossiness but good guys all around. My favorite line: “Instinct of a pinecone.”I really hope this group turns into a series.5.0The Wolf on Her Doorstep by Kate PearceBeth Baker finds former Navy SEAL Connor O’Neal in his small rented cabin with a fever from an injury. She cleans the wound and helps Connor with food and other nursing duties. An attraction blooms and they agree it’s just a one time thing and they will move on afterwards. As Con or spends more time with Beth, he finds he wants more.An emotional story of a family moving into adulthood and a mother realizing she can support but also needs to let go, at the same time learning to love again.4.0Colorado Cowboy by Diana PalmerEsther runs away after seeing her mother murdered. She finds refuge with a military veteran in a small town in Colorado. They fall in love and then must deal with the consequences she left behind.A sweet and naive woman falls for the man that finds her in a snowy night and cares for her.I have a lot of thoughts on this story, mostly negative. So suffice it to say: skip to the next.2.5I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share.

Rebecca Zanetti carries this book and earns it a 5+
Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer is a bit of a blah story, mainly because of the naive heroine and her lack of logical decisions in a tragic and dangerous situation. I must say this is a common trait I have noticed in Diana Palmer's books in the last few years. This story gets a 2 stars from me.Wolf on her Doorstep by Kate Pearce is much more believable but too short to allow character development. I have never read this author before but I might later. I give a 3 1/2 stars. Now on to the good stuff. I haven't even finished Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti but I just had to get on my computer to see if I could get the books on the other 11 guys introduced in this story. But there is nothing out there !!! I am hoping that Rescue: Cowboy Style was just a teaser, a prequel let's says of a new series to come. The author cannot just introduce us to such a great and intriguing group of guys and not follow up with their own stories. She gave us enough glimpses of those men to tantalize us and she must have had a reason for doing so. I will be keeping a look out for the series that is sure to come. Now back to this story. It has it's basis on 12 ex-military men who were kept and tortured as prisonners of war for years and have since sometimes worked as a type of mercenaries (rescues). They consider themselves as brothers and have now bought land, and more land, enough for ranches/homes for all 12 of them and they have formed a co-op to do so.And then who should show up at their 'club house' on a dark and stormy night than a real honest to God damsel in distress who, we find out later, has killers on her trail. Boy, did she ever luck out on her choice of shelter. Yes, I know it all sounds corny but the story is very well written and it grips you from the first page (the only reason I stopped reading before I finished it was to check the Internet for the rest of the series). Anyway, she met Logan Trent that night, he immediately took her under his wing, and it did not take long for him to realize there was something wrong and then decide to help her (and keep her). Now, this 'damsel' is far from dumb and she already has a plan to bring the criminals after her to justice. So, they will all work together on that...... and i can't say more because this is where I stopped reading and now have to get back to finish the story. This is the first time I have ever written a review before I even finish a book, but it is that good.By the way, this is the first story I have read from Rebecca Zanetti but it sure won't be the last.

Three stories with friendly wolves.
Three 'gentle' stories as opposed to nasty, control freak jerks for heroes. I also loved the strong, intelligent women portrayed. The stories were short, light novelettes. I always love Diana Palmer's books, her writing is so smooth and easy, her descriptions of characters and situation so realistic, it is as though you are watching a movie, you can see it all. I can't wait for her next book. Meanwhile I just have to reread them. Ho Hum.lol

Fun, exciting, sexy.
I loved how romantic and sometimes funny this was. Handsome virile men in the business of dishing out fair punishment for sometime unfair behaviour.

LONE WOLF book
Enjoyed the book very much. Diana Palmer is a steamy writer. One thing: I didn't know that you had to go to Amazon from Kindle to actually order the book. Because of that, all my books were late. My bad.Joan Toupin
