Denim Rider and Other Stories

I finished Denim Rider and Other Stories 2 weeks ago and have been thinking about it ever since. Jason Lips has created something sublime here. Elegiac but very funny and beautifully drawn Denim Rider is a collection of stories but as told (first person) and drawn by Lip's sharp voice/versatile pen it reads like one cohesive narrative about growing up with an aching sense of loss, stumbling guideless into adulthood and somehow amazingly finding that you now have the loving creative family you once longed for... only to be haunted by its fragility. I loved this book and can not wait to see what Lips does next.KEH
