DOES NOT have "surge protect hardware inside!!!"
After a fierce thunderstorm - about a dozen "surge protector" outlet strips smoked with one burning the surface (wood!) on which it was sitting - almost a fire!Reading about "surge protector" outlet strips - found out the are NOT ALLOWED on cruise ships. So all the replacement power outlet bars/strips or whatever you call them - most are Yellow Jacket and one or two Trip-lite which I disassembled and remove the offending fire-starter parts (MOVs)One Yellow-jacket strip for my "home theater" and the one switch on the Yellow-Jacket allows power on/off with one switch to all the various home theater stuff.

Love these things.
Great sturdy and easy way to add power accessibility options. Mounts easily with provided hardware just be sure to mount to studs. The brackets can be placed anywhere along its length just in case your wall studs are not exactly 16 on center. Are they ever? The first one I ordered never arrived but Amazon fixed the problem immediately. Thanks Amazon!

A great tool.
This is perfect for behind the workbench or bench top tool boxes. A must for anyone with bulky charging adapters or numerous charging stations. I've got battery chargers for two different cordless Dewalt style batteries, a third for a Snap-On cordless screw gun, another for a Streamlight Stinger flashlight and two battery tenders always hooked up to motorcycles with both lead acid and lith-ion batteries. It's only shortcoming is it's cord length which is adequate but not great. This 3' version has a 5' cord while the 4' has a 6' cord. Ideally I would like at least 10' on both for those jobs where you unclip it from the wall to use elsewhere but for stationary mounting it's just fine as long as you have several outlets in your work space.

Great unit
Great power strip for garage, outlets are well spaced, very useful for several cordless tool charger unit lined up in a row, and long cord is handy.

Great product
Easy to mount on wall. Outlets spaced far enough apart to provide ample room for transformer type plugs. Great for price.

It’s a good buy.
It was easy to attach to the back of my work bench. Makes using electric tools much more convenient . Would definitely recommend.
